Seneca Big Bore 44 909 Light Hunter air rifle
How many shots will you get from your 500cc Big Bore 44 909 Light Hunter? Our tech department filled their dual-tank air rifle to 3,000 psi, loaded it with 166-grain bullets and let loose! They shot the first 6 shots on high power. The first shot was 745 fps. Shot 6 was 713 fps.
The next 12 bullets were shot on low power. Shot 7 was 683 fps, and the final shot on low power was 574 fps. That brought the tank down to 800 psi for a total of 18 shots.
This shows you what one gun can do. Velocity and psi levels will vary gun to gun.
Get lots of shots with these big air tanks! Two tanks hold up to 500cc of air, giving you lots of hunting power and lots of shots. The Seneca Big Bore 44 Light Hunter air rifle delivers authoritative shots when it sends those .45-caliber pellets (actually, they're bullets) downrange.
Ideal for eradicating possums, beavers, nutria, raccoons and similar-sized pests who invade your ponds, gardens and fields.

Things I liked: accurate, powerful
Things I would have changed: trigger pull. its got to be 5 pounds or more but if your a tinkerer you'll find a way to fix that
What others should know: if you really want good accuracy try casting your own slugs I did and it made a big difference

How loud is the recluse
About the same loudness as this 909, definitely very loud
Is the .457 round ball the correct size?ive seen some say it will blow the breech o ring out.The .454 is to small and wont seat in the breech.
Typically .454 and .455 are the go to for this rifle
Hi everyone! I have a question for you all: do any of you think that Air Venturi will be making an air bolt for this gun any time soon? A .45 is really what I would like to get, but being that as of now there is no airbolt for it I would consider going more likely with a .357. What is the chance you guys think Air Venturi will come out with an airbolt for this gun? Thanks
Yes, a .45 cal version is in the works
