Umarex Synergis .177 cal, Multi-shot Gas Piston Rifle, 3-9x32 Scope
Listening to the growing demand for multi-shot, gas piston air rifles, Umarex brings us the Synergis. Blending the classic underlever design with a modern synthetic stock and brand new RapidMag cartridge system, the Synergis will be a popular option for small game hunters and target shooters alike. A fully shrouded barrel keeps your shots quiet, and the magazine system allows for faster follow up shots than standard underlever rifles. Using Umarex's patented ABT (Airflow Boost Technology), the Synergis achieves unprecedented power and accuracy. Through this technology, airflow is accelerated directly behind the pellet allowing for complete in-line accuracy. The Air Cylinder Breech Block prevents air from escaping giving the Umarex Synergis™ more power to project an alloy pellet downrange at 1200 feet per second.
The 12 round magazines load into the RapidMag system easily at the front of the compression tube and do not interfere with your field of view through the included 3-9x40 scope. The scope is mounted onto the metal Lockdown Picatinny rail, and keeps your scope secure and zeroed. The TNT gas piston powerplant is smooth with a fast shot cycle that is capable of producing up to 1000 fps with lead pellets. Simply cock the underlever to cycle the magazine and close it to load a pellet into the barrel, it's really that simple.

Things I liked: Great air gun !
Things I would have changed: Not any
Things I liked: Nice feel, solid, great scope mount (on gun proper), pretty accurate with the right pellet...
Things I would have changed: Trigger somewhat mushy, very heavy rifle...
What others should know: heavy cocking, great buy for the money!
Things I liked: You may wish to see my previous reviews. NOW that it's fixed, I love the accuracy. 4 shots, 4 squirrels. I LOVE the scope rail. Trigger is good, sensitive, and predictable enough IMHO.
Things I would have changed: Add sling loops. And most of all DECREASE the cocking effort. I wonder if other under level rifles are this hard to cock? I have a break barrel - Benjamin Trail np2 - that is now a pleasure to cock compared to this, albeit just not as accurate. I'll eventually switch out the scope, though the one provided is good enough for the distances that I shoot.
What others should know: It's my belief that the skirt or head diameter of the pellet may make all the difference as to whether the pellets jam or not. Some .177 pellets may be 4.52 mm, others maybe 4.51 mm, others may be 4.53 mm, Etc. You get the point. Um, excuse the pun... but a smaller head may be better in this rifle. I can't recall which, but either H&N or JSB provide the exact head diameter of their pellets.

What is the overall length and what is the cocking effort?
Overall Length 45.5". The cocking effort will be in the mid 40 lb range.
Will it accept pointed pellets or is it limited to round nose and Wadcutter?
If the pointed pellets fit in the magazine they can be used.
Is this being offered in a .22 caliber?
That is a question for Umarex
