Spring air guns are powered by a spring piston setup and require the shooter to manually cock the piston for each shot. While spring air guns are similar to single-stroke pneumatic air guns, they are not to be confused with them as they do use a different mechanism for firing, despite both requiring some form of one-time manual cocking before every shot. We offer spring BB guns and pellet guns in both pistol and rifle styles. Some of the spring air guns we have available are break barrel guns in which the barrel of the gun breaks down and acts as the mechanism to cock the piston and chamber a new pellet. Other spring air guns, non break-barrel styles, use a side lever for cocking the spring and piston assembly between shots. Beeman is known for creating some of the best spring air guns available as well as Crosman, Diana RWS, Gamo, Mendoza and others. Spring air guns are suited more for adults and mature shooters as there can be considerable effort involved in the cocking action of these guns which must occur before every shot, and may be a struggle for young shooters.
