Description

A favorite among competitive shooters and sportsmen! Whether you're looking for power, accuracy, or excellent fit and finish, the TX200 MkIII has it. It's ideal for anything from competing in local field target matches to hunting.

The TX200 Mk III features a Lothar Walther barrel and a richly finished Monte Carlo stock with a raised cheekpiece and deep, flawless bluing. In addition to the superior fit and finish, the TX200 Mk III features a two-stage trigger and an automatic safety. Loading is via a sliding breech, which is revealed when you cock the underlever. You have to mount a scope since it doesn't come with open sights.

It shoots at 930 fps in .177 and 755 fps in .22. Air Arms products, including the TX200, are known for accuracy in all calibers. Use the guns for hunting (.22 recommended) or field target (.177 only). You don't have to stop there! It's great for plinking, shooting spinners, killing tin cans or popping paper targets. Enjoy the relatively quiet report and moderate recoil from a gun that has a long heritage of accuracy.

Beauty, ease of operation. I got mine from another vendor a couple of years ago at a better price. I hit the wood lottery with a walnut stock, and got one with a lot of burl in the buttstock, blending to tigerstripe in the forearm. very accurate, and an excellent trigger.

Weight, even with the walnut stock it is extremely heavy, Beech would be even more. They need to do something to put it on a diet. Same as the ProSport.

Pyamid is one of the best dealers of a few I do business with.

Solid built all metal gun with no plastic parts. Beautifully carved walnut

Not being able to see the grain before it ships. Also my trigger guard is really badly done it looks like the cut the metal on the saw and painted over the saw marks. Also on the right side of the gun part of the grain looks like a crack on the stock or maybe they professionally repaired the crack. Hard to tell and I'm a wood worker.

When I text pyramid air a picture they didn't really seem to care. Which is a shame considering I heard nothing but great things about there customer service. I'm gonna see if the trigger guard Is supposed to be in this rough of shape and maybe talk to air arms about the possible crack repair. Or maybe it's the grain.

I'd give $50 to see it before I buy it.

Could you imagine the time it would take if everyone wanted a picture of the rifle they were buying.

First of all this is a beautiful air rifle. I have shot it some and it has good accuracy, but i have bkl mounts on it and they will not lock down and stop sliding rearwards. These were recommended by Pyramyd and i mentioned that they didn't have a stop pin, but he said they would work and have not. Other than the mounts, this is a nice gun to add to your collection.

Nothing besides my scope mounts.

It's expensive, but you are getting a quality gun that will last for years.

Not a single cheap part from stock to barrel to cocking lever and ball stop. Extremely accurate and nice lght cocking force.

I would add sling attachments on left side and I include a right angle pellet seating tool. I made an STL file and 3d printed one so fingers never enter danger zone.

Order one im immediately

The trigger on the rifle was everything that I hoped it would be. Shot cycle smoothes out after a few hundred pellets. The fit and finish is second to none in the industry, and would compete with most in the firearms industry. During preliminary testing the rifle doesn't appear to be too picky about pellets.

The cocking rod bumper fell off after about 50 shots. Pyramyd sells a replacement, but why bother if it will continue to happen? Air Arms really needs to address that wart post haste. I did the usual thing, and put some O rings in the grooves on the end of the rod, and solved the issue.

I was somewhat disappointed that Pyramyd would not provide photos of the rifle prior to shipment. I ordered a walnut stock, and felt that a $900 springer was worthy of approving the stock, they however did not. The one I received was average, not great. I was even more disappointed when Pyramyds' sister company offered the same rifle on sale two days after I ordered mine. The rifle requires premium mounts. I had an adjustable pair which did not work, so a fixed pair was used without issue. There is a fair amount of droop, so choose the optic wisely.

Nice rifle, fit , and finish is the best in the springer world. Trigger is nice

The stock is rather plain, Pyramyd was unwilling to shoot a photo prior to shipping, so you take your chances when you order. The gun has about 4.5 inches of barrel droop that I'll have to figure out how to compensate for.

Adjustable mounts won't hold zero long enough to see what sort of accuracy you have.

Paul Dec 16, 2023

At what distance have you zeroed your scope? I zeroed my TX at 35yds.

David Dec 15, 2023

Mark, I thought that the accuracy issues might be in the mount as well, and that is why I mentioned it in the review. To say that the trigger is world class would imply that I don't already have air guns with better triggers in my collection, and that would be false. The trigger is very nice. The rifle still is 3 inches low with fixed mounts. Groups are improving with a few hundred pellets through the rifle. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the cocking arm bumper fell off within 50 shots. I put O rings on the end of the lever. Air Arms should just put them in the box. The more I shoot it the more I seem to appreciate it for what it is. Might put a low power spring in it, and see what that does.

Paul Dec 01, 2023

I truly think its either your scope or mounts or a combination of both. It would be unlikely to be a fixed barrel rifle issue.

Mark Dec 01, 2023

David - One star accuracy for a TX200??? I would think your problem is in your scope mounts and/or scope. I have several TX200s and they are all beyond excellent air guns with best in class accuracy. Trigger is world class.

This rifle is the KING of spring. You'll be excited opening it, thrilled firing it and proud to own it. I appreciate the accuracy, location and automatic nature of the safety, the look and feel. It's a rifle to admire and hopefully pass down due to its solid build.

I struggle to come up with a single thing.

I compared this rifle to the HW98 and the TX200 stole the show.

Everything, the fit and finish is spot on. The accuracy is second to none. I have 2, a .22 and a .177. Best springers I have ever owned.

Nothing

I have owned or now own many makes and models of air rifles and the old saying you get what you pay for applies.

Have had my TX200 MK 111 for three years now. Not one problem and around 6k shots. Impeccable rifle with no flaws I can find. Still shoots Daystate Sovereign Hunter (made by JSB) 10.33 grain at 810 fps just as it did when brand new. I've had roughly 50 springers over my lifetime and this one stands alone. If you are hesitant to buy believe me just don't hesitate any longer and buy the rifle.

Not one thing

Buy a REALY GOOD scope to bring out the guns accuracy potential. Mine is topped with a Sidewinder and this compliments the rifle nicely
