The Diana 54 Airking Pro Air Rifle with beech stock continues the tradition of fine craftsmanship fans of this German legacy brand expect. Capable of velocities up to 1100 FPS in .177 and 900 FPS in .22, this air rifle has the control and accuracy needed for a variety of tasks, including small-game hunting, pest control, and plinking.
The feature shooters have come to rely on is the recoilless action that improves hold sensitivity and comfort by virtually eliminating vibration, which leads to stunning accuracy. Instead of the shooter absorbing the recoil of the rifle, the action rides on a sled system within the stock, so the stock absorbs the vibration and movement without transferring the recoil to the shooter.
For added accuracy, users can add a scope via the 11mm dovetail optics rail on top of the barrel, or use the included front sight blade and fully adjustable rear sight. Further precision is unlocked with the two-stage adjustable T06 trigger, and the smooth sidelever action adds to the consistent and easy shooting experience.
Additional stability can be gained through the new forearm stud that allows for the attachment of a bipod. In addition to the rubber buttpad, the stock also features checkering on the forearm and grip, allowing for a sturdy and repeatable hold and a comfortable fit.
To get a spring piston air rifle with recoilless shooting plus the classic good looks of a wooden stock that's well-suited for plinking and small-game hunting, buy the Diana 54 Airking Pro Air Rifle with beech stock from Pyramyd Air.

This thing is a beast. It is strong and accurate. It is beautifully built of quality craftsmanship. It really can shoot. I shoot mostly 100yds and if I am having a bad day and cant seem to put rounds on target I just get the RWS 54 out and it is no problem. This gun just does not seem to have bad days. I rarely have the fliers from my 54. If your looking for a hard hitting and reliably accurate rifle this is surely one of them.
Things I would have changed:I guess if lighter would be better then maybe i would change that. Everything else is just great.
What others should know:I dont know about the 48 or 52 but my 54 is recoil less and not hold sensitive which is pretty nice. She is a heavy gun more suited to the bench instead of carrying. It is a fine piece of work.

Mine is an older spring version but it is Very well built , powerful and accurate. Not hold sensitive like some springers.
Things I would have changed:She is a little heavy but the accuracy makes up for it.
What others should know:Its probably not something you will want to carry around and shoot off hand but for shooting from a rest it will not disappoint. Mine can tear up a 2x3 inch target at 104 yards. If i knew how to upload a pic I can show the results.

Where is the front sight? I see the rear sight, but the front one appears to be missing. It is a flip up?
Is the Barrel and power still the same, made in Germany and the same specs?
Are theses still German made barrels. Had a 34 model when they tried to use Chinese barrels it was junk shot 6 inch groups at 7 yards

Paired with Hawke Airmax 4-12x40. Supremely accurate. I've never owned an airgun with this level of precision. It is absolutely amazing. Almost zero recoil is felt. The sliding receiver really does work. The build quality is impressive, not a single piece of plastic to be found (unless you install the open sight barrel weight, but a gun this accurate should be paired with a scope)
Things I would have changed:I prefer the look of the checkering on the older 54's, but still very handsome. I know a lot of people like the red laminate, I like the more traditional look personally.
What others should know:The factory grease and oils will diesel you fist few shots, I was surprised to hear the sharp crack of the pellets going supersonic. It settled down fast though. Also, there's significant barrel droop. Invest in the Diana ZR scope mount if you can find it, otherwise and adjustable mount is necessary. Droop is too much to compensate with scope adjustment.
