Things I liked: Tight fit. Quality, smoothness.
Things I would have changed: N/A
What others should know: With the old gowdy stock, original Beeman R1, it will hit the stock in the stock channel. A small amount of stock material must be carefully removed

Things I liked: Necessary to replace old style cocking plate if you plan on using Vortek spring kit. Very high quality.
What others should know: When upgrading your old cocking plate with the new style you will run into some necessary alterations. My 1985 R1's opening in the cylinder was adequate for the old plate, but needed to be widened with a file for most of the length to accommodate the new plate. The opening was machined unevenly, about 0.020" narrower in the rear than the front. You will also have to enlarge the inletting in the stock to accommodate the new plate in it's rearmost position. This was easily performed with a small wood chisel.
