This gun feels great. It has heft and feels solid. If you love the Colt SAA you will appreciate the feel - it just feels right. My son saw this and now thinks it is his! Now they just need to make a Winchester 1873 to go with it!

Wish they could have figured a way for the hammer to close completely, but this is a minor point.

This is not a target airgun. It was more accurate out of the box than I expected, but it is really a plinker/fun gun. And it is a bunch of fun!!!

Appearance, realism, weight, operation and accuracy are all outstanding.

The grip is slightly longer than a real 1873 colt. I assume its to accommodate the CO2 cylinder and valves, but it makes for a more secure purchase than the original.

This is a great gun.

The way the hammer does not go all the way down, when the gun is not in use. Offer different grips, wood grain etc.

I predict this will be one of the top selling air guns for 2015.

The appearance when opened the box. The design is dead on.

I opened the box handled the colt then put back in box. I will not use, I will just keep in box. For me it is my collector pistol.

I love how real the gun looks, how real it feels, how real it is, how accurate it is, how smooth it is, how unbelievable satisfying it is. I also love how easy it is to load the BBS I can load the BBS into the back of the shells with out having to take the cartridges out but I'm also 13 years old so I have smaller hand that a grown man/woman so for me I don't think its necessary to have the extra cartridges especially if you have to carry them in your pockets.

I would like to have it in a easy load pellet version, I have the Dan Wesson pellet revolver and honestly even with the extra 12 cartridges it is just way to time consuming. I would also like to have more barrel lengths as well as wood grips or even faux wood grips wood be nice. I think that if you Umarex could find a way to make a reusable CO2 cartridge that you could "refill" using a pump like the ones you would use for airguns.

That this is my favorite airgun and gun that I and my dad owns and anybody would be fool to not consider buying it.

Has the authentic look and feel of a classic western-style revolver. Also the blued finish is beautiful.

Make the hammer seat flush with the frame when the gun is not cocked. Also get rid of the safety. A single action revolver doesn't need it. Put the US-required "Not a Toy" and "Country of Origin" notes on the bottom of the barrel.

Finding the proper hammer "half-cock" position for loading and unloading can be tricky. Check the gap below the cylinder to be sure that the "hand" that locks the cylinder is fully retracted into the frame.

Feel in the hand. Blued metal. Fairly accurate.

Remove the writing on the barrel.

Fine little gun for the money. Lots of fun to shoot.

The fit and finish of the gun is amazing. It has great weight and the feel is very close to the actual gun.

Like others have said, the hammer won't rest like it should so it looks a little funny. Include more shells or a stand to display it on.

It is a great gun for plinking and having fun with young kids. It also looks great on display. It won't be the gun you go to for extreme accuracy or power but it will be fun to shoot.

Quit a nice pistol. Finish excl. weight excl. shoots very well for a smooth bore barrel. Feels and looks just like a real Colt .45, I THINK.

LARGER FRAME

FOR ME A BIT SMALL IN THE HAND, COMPARED TO MY S&W .357, WHICH HAS A LARGER FRAME. I HAVE NEVER HAD A REAL COLT.45 IN MY HAND, SO I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SIZE. FOR WHAT THIS REPRESENTS AND THE QUALITY THIS IS A GREAT PLINKER AND A COLLECTOR FOR NOTABILITY OF SUCH PISTOL. VERY GLAD I BOUGHT ONE.

Very good looks and feel. Really feline the real SAA. Only shot each one (bought three for Christmas presents) to check them out.

Wish hammer went all the way down to the frame when un-cocked.

These aren't target pistols. They are a great plinker when shooting at drink cans or shooting empty shotgun shells of the saw horse.

Holy crap!...What a gun!...You have to have one to appreciate it...Waited so long but, worth it...Great weight and feel, shows so well with a holster and gun belt...Had to wear it while watching a "Duke" movie (unloaded of course)

Wood grips

Not bad on accuracy, there are some better ones out there but, who cares?

I had to have this replica of the original Colt SAA. Well made. Feels real, great design and functionality. I have maybe 40 bbs through it from 8-10 feet and accuracy seems very good. BB went through both sides of can depending how it hit can. Fast draw with gun was smooth.

The hammer does NOT sit flush. All pictures found show the same (hammer not sitting flush). I would be nice that it did and I would like to read an explanation as to why it can't but it does not take away from the gun. Also, i would like to have seen then cylinder spin more smoothly. That part could be improved on. Again, it is not a deal breaker. The gun is just beautiful and real looking. Shoots great. You can't go wrong with this in any collection or just to have for fun.

I liked everything about this replica co2 bb gun, especially the "1860 grip" which is larger to accomcdate the co2 capsule, but fits my large hands better than the "replica correct" 1873 grips.

Not a big problem, but I would prefer that the hammer rest all the way down, instead of riding with a space between the frame and the hammer.

Buy extra bullets, as you can spend more time shooting instead of loading bbs in the same 6 bullets between shooting and re loading.

just like the real gun,,,,maybe not as powerful,,,,lol,,,,,,has the clicks like real colt,,,,and blueing is nice also!!!

i would like to see the 4 3/4 inch model be available

I'm a retired NYS gunsmith with twenty years experience. This is one of 37 assorted replica firearms I've purchased from Pyramyd Air and like all the others the quality, the price, the realism, and the attention to detail is exceptional.

This replica is the next best thing to the original firearm.

This gun is a beautiful piece of work. I have owned actual .45cal SAA replica firearms that were not as well finished as this one. The weight and balance are perfect, and the action is smooth and solid. Trigger pull is light, smooth, and predictable. It is very accurate for a BB pistol.

I would like an option of better grips. The plastic ones provided look good and work just fine, but I happen to prefer stag grips on the SAA style revolvers. Not a complaint, just a desire.

If you like the Colt SAA pistol, you should buy one of these. It is an excellent reproduction and true to the original design. It's my first from Umarex and probably not my last. I'm very impressed with this product.

This is a much better looking finish in person than it shows in the photos. The finish is cased hardened / blued with a semi-gloss finish and not the dull matte the photos would have you believe. I had a Crosman 45 as a kid and this gun is head and shoulders above that in appearance

It is a "Colt branded Peacemaker" the gun that helped tame the American West this gun is our state gun.

I would prefer the hammer rested further into the breach but I understand it is slightly back to prevent air spill etc. I will keep this one for my life time.

I like the quality of this gun a true airgun made from metal and heavy feeling but no melted lead added to it. It looks like a real hand gun.

Beautiful craftsmanship overall with great weight and authenticity and feel.

Nothing to change except more availability of hard to get shells.

Get this gun while it's available. Realistic, accurate and a great value for the money.
