    Things I liked:

Metal outer barrel, real wood stock, and handguard.

    Things I would have changed:

Change the plastic trigger to a metal one. Also, the screw located in the middle of the handguard feels uncomfortable.

    Things I liked:

The gun fits and adult . Easy to load and shoot. Fit and finish are good and it seems well made. Lots of fun to shoot like it is .

    Things I would have changed:

Would like to see a little better trigger in it. I know its still new but its shooting well below the rated 350 feet per second its rated for . Gun seems a little weak to me. Like to see a stronger springs from the factory. Make it a a can puncher.

    What others should know:

I can't leave anything alone so I built mine with aftermarket parts. Better spring, seamless shot tube. bigger air tube. It shoots farther, flatter and takes the cans completely off the boards now. Initial 21fps increase and should get better as it breaks in. Its a blast and its cheap to shoot . There are lots of ways to upgrade your Red Ryder. A fiber optic front sight is an inexpensive, improvement to the basic gun. You can get all kinds of goodies if you want to spend more money. Scope mounts, performance springs, enlarged air tubes , seamless shot tubes. If you have the time and the money, you can make your rifle shoot faster and more accurately. All the information is out there on the internet and the parts are on Ebay. Enjoy.

    Things I liked:

Shot a 1-inch group right out of the box from 30 feet with Daisy Precision Max BBs. Getting accuracy like this isn't always the case with a new Red Ryder - I am lucky. I like the adult size stock with the curved notch to fit into my shoulder - no slippage! The Youth Red Ryder stock is straight and slips inside the shoulder. The stock is wider than the standard Red Ryder and feels better in my hand when pulling the trigger. This is a well-made, high quality BB rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Put in the new Fiber Optic front sight ( I had to paint the standard front sight fluorescent orange to aim clearly). Have the wood furniture be higher quality wood like walnut and finish it with high-gloss Tru-Oil or similar. I get way too many misfires from this BB gun - very annoying. Perhaps it needs a more powerful magnet to put the BB in place?

    What others should know:

I have purchased several (15 +) Red Ryders over the last 5 years. They all vary in accuracy because of the differences in shot tubes. You cannot count on accuracy like I got with this one. I suspect most adults will appreciate the feel of shooting with this adult size Red Ryder. This is a well-made, high quality BB rifle. Pyramyd Air has the best price I have seen for this new adult version of the Red Ryder.

    Things I liked:

I really wanted to like this rifle, but I never had one when I was a kid and this seems to make the difference between a good experience (it makes you remember your childhood) from a plain bad one (its a plain bad rifle). I like the way it looks.

    Things I would have changed:

First gun I had wasnt welded straight and had to be brought back (was not purchased here). Second gun had all its nuts so tight that metal parts were wavy. The trigger group is wobbly, the trigger is very heavy. The sights are too wide for accuracy. The rifle would feed correctly only two third of the time, I tested many BB brands with the same result. The accuracy is terrible. I never used a BB rifle before (only pellets) but it made me think of a shotgun, to be precise it made me think to a small bore which would throw each shot of a shotgun independently. Thats the kind of accuracy I got.

    What others should know:

This is a love-it-or-hate-it rifle. Buy it if you know what you will get, there are way better options otherwise.

I never had a red rider as a kid so I really didn't know what to expect. What I found is that I like this gun. Super quiet. I mean really really really quiet. Fairly accurate for a bb gun. Not disappointed.

Just arrived this morning, got the Lasso mount with too, for scope mounting. Very quiet. I'm very happy!

    Things I would have changed:

Ad a windage adjustment for rear sight.

    What others should know:

Be careful oiling, it can run down the stock.

    Things I liked:

I purchased this little rifle for ONE thing 'quietness' ..... by far the Quietest air gun I own ... Part of the ''solution' was to set up a horizontal rail fiberglass driveway marker worked for me ... cut it to the length of the Backstop (A bail of straw) .... Targets made out of one rolled up old crew sock (each) ... a piece of wire or paper clip through the top and hang the sock roll targets on the horizontal rail .... they are practically noiseless and at 10m the bbs fall off of them or get stuck in the sock material ... perfect quiet.

    Things I would have changed:

Windage adjustment ..... I was able to get the Vertical (elevation) adjusted pretty close with the stock rear sight .... then .... once I figured the windage by eye shooting at Hit-n-see targets .... this little gun is amazingly accurate up to 50 feet (for plinking) ... BBs gently bounce off the sock targets but accuracy is great especially at 10m ...... Trigger pull is VERY hard, that requires extra practice to get your accuracy down pat.

    What others should know:

Although I purchased this Adult Red Ryder for a 'quiet' BB guy ...... I have to remember that hitting the target creates a LOUDER noise than the rifle .... so noise free targets were as much a solution ... ..... I put up 8 rolled and painted sock hanging targets (paper clip hanger just on enough to allow the bb to knock it off. Set em up and walk back to the 10m or more for more of a challenge and shoot em down ... practically noiseless fun!

    Things I liked:

LOTS of shots without reloading !!!! Easy to cock, Lots of fun ... very quiet. Good power for what it is designed to do (plinking) really not as FPS as noted on the box but it can toss a bb almost 200 yards!

    Things I would have changed:

the TRIGGER is very heavy pull ... I can't measure it but has to be between 5 and 10 pounds ....... It's a great little gun for the price but a ''WINDAGE'' adjustment on the rear sight would make it more fun for sure.

    What others should know:

If you are concerned with accuracy you might consider the Red Ryder with a scope .... The Adult Red Ryder without the scope has only adjustment for elevation you have to make the 'windage' adjustment by eye (not difficult just a little practice to see where you are hitting) once you've got it close it plays well for plinking and is a lot of fun very quiet gun ..... I took single cotton socks and rolled them up tight put a paper clip through the top to hang em on a horizontal rod ... that way between quiet gun and targets that do not make noise when hit ... perfect backyard/neighborhood fun gun. ..... only 'negative' as far as using this gun for learning firearms etiquette is the HARD trigger pull. For the price and with soft targets this is the quiet way to have fun.

    Things I liked:

    Styling and build quality

    Things I would have changed:

For the adult version I would have like just a little more zip behind the BBs

    What others should know:

I am very happy with this bb gun. I don't think the internals are any different than the regular Red Ryder or Buck 105. The stock is a little wider and LOP is longer to fit an adult. If you are going to take on the children in shooting cans and they have the Red Ryder or Buck, you are on equal ground when it comes to power and accuracy.

    Things I liked:

I liked the traditional build that I kinda remember from my youth. I really appreciate the "adult" length of pull of the butt stock.

    Things I would have changed:

I don't know that I would necessarily delete the safety but....I wish the trigger and safety(even though it is of the current build) were both made of metal. They feel like an adult may damage one or the other if roughly handled.

    What others should know:

My gun seemed to perform well enough. That said, I remember my 1st gun seemed to be considerably more powerful and maybe/perhaps the "adult" model could reflect the slightly more rugged construction materials and power level. If I had any concerns on the initial review it is only that the stock had some looseness/wiggle. I tightened the screws a touch. I believe the wood may have shrunk a bit from assembly to my receipt of the gun that may have contributed to the looseness.

    Things I liked:

For all that remember the original Red Ryder this is a perfect rifle sized for us who are now adults. The fit is great for an adult and the rifle brings back many memories. It allows you to teach the youth proper gun handling and safety while enjoying yourself.

    What others should know:

A nice rifle for the adult who still has the spark inside of being a kid again.
