The gun is the right size for an adult shooter. Sights in great and is a gun I plan on passing down to my grandson..

The safety on the gun sticks and does not allow the gun to shoot.

This is a good choice for those wanting to return to the days of using a bb in the woods.

Nice bb rifle & fun to shoot targets, cans. Feels well-built.

I own several air guns and a Chrony to measure FPS... This Red Ryder adult is in the range of 300- 320 fps.....Not bad!

great bb gun feels great for us big kids i love pliinking from my front porch so good

The "adult" size fits better and helps to stay on target. Even though it's a smooth bore, I have no trouble hitting my target.

The only thing I would change is the loading of the BB's. I don't know how, but it sure would be a big help to make it easier to load.

It's "hell" on the soft aluminum drink cans.

Feels like it's well made, light, easy to load, easy to shoot. Accuracy is on par with my model 25 pump.

Lighten the trigger.

Mine doesn't always feed a BB and I found that if you cock the gun half way and give one quick shake it never misses a beat. Sights are difficult to see in poor light. Even with a smooth bore barrel and rudimentary sights it will hit a small juice can at 30 yards with no problem.

Nitro piston spring with more power (FPS). Longer more durable charging lever. .22 version.

Just about the same as 1958, Solid feel, no issues, just load and use.

My first Red Ryder shot straight out of the box. This new one required some adjustment to get the accuracy one would expect.

These are an excellent, very easy to use and a pile of FUN!

Adult sized Red Ryder shoulders more closely to a real rifle than the regular sized version. 100% wood stock that's bigger all around and a metal lever. Build quality is spot on and the price is a bargain.

A little more power would be nice, but I didn't buy it as a serious shooter.

It's everything you like about the regular Red Rider , but in a larger size for an adult.

Brings back the memories of when I was a kid, except full sized. It is accurate, easy to use, and reasonably powerful, plus you don't have to reload often. Can't beat it for the price. You'll love it.

Well made, fits this adult male well. Sights were on at the distance I'm shooting, roughly 30 feet.

Perhaps a version with a receiver sight?

Already have the Buck 105 & Pink Red Ryder for the G-kids but had to have "my own" so we all can "compete" on level ground. It FIT! Didn't think it would be that much different but was wrong, that extra 1.5" did the trick. Lotsa fun on the cheap!!

Add contrast to the sights to help younger kids better see proper sight alignment.

If you are looking for a grab & go plinker on the cheap you simply cannot beat a Red Ryder!

Classic, looks great in the gun rack next to real guns. I like the hard wood stock and the look and feel of a real gun.

Make a CO2 version of the Adult Red Ryder and add some weight to the gun.

I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I really like this BB gun it's so much fun and historic. Simple joy to shoot in the backyard. Easy to use single pump action.Holds lots of ammo. no problems or jams.The lever action is nice. Accuracy is pretty good for a single pump BB gun in this price range.

I wish the sight was brighter and easier to see in low light conditions. Non issue if you only shoot in the day time.

Cant really go wrong with this BB gun its loads of fun for the whole family. I would definitely buy another one. You've all seen Christmas Story wear goggles. I still have both my eyes.

Another Red Ryder BB gun. A reborn classic from the days of my youth but with an adult sized stock. Same look and feel at the old original.

Fit of the stock and receiver a bit rough. The printing on the stock was OK but not as nice as the standard version I have had for a while.

I painted the gap between the stock and the receiver glossy black to hide the cheesy unfinished bit. I also replaced the two trigger springs with much lighter ones from ball point pens. A bit fiddly and the springs had to be cut (trial & error) to fit but worth it for adult use. Use the better grade of BB's, not the copper ones as they definitely shoot better. Always have a safe backstop and wear Safety Glasses.

Like being a kid again. my wife and i are former cowboy action shooters but after she became disabled we had to quit. I set up some cans full off water and handed her the Ryder, she shot and shot and shot and giggled like a little girl the whole time. She keeps targets set up all the time now and the gun by the back door so she can practice anytime. I think i need to put a scabbard on her electric scooter.

I wish it was still a little bigger.

Buy lots of BBs.

This thing is awesome. Everything you like about the regular Red Ryder, but juuuuust that much bigger. Already had the metal lever installed also.

Nothing really.

My only issue with it was the stock had a little bit of an un-sanded edge where it meets the metal. But no biggie. Again, the metal lever being pre-installed was a nice touch. Swapped the front sight with a fiber l-optic and swapped the rear leveler sight with a ghost ring. Super fun plinker.
