Air Venturi High Pressure Output Filter, fits AV 4500 PSI Compressor

It is made well and comes with two filter rebuild kits. With It being an Air Venturi branded filter, it doesn't look like an afterthought or add on item to the compressor. With the Central Florida humidity, I do all I can to keep moisture out of my guns and tanks!

Add a 4500 PSI hose with two female foster quick disconnects and a male to male foster. This would include all that is needed to be up and running right out of the box.

Buy a 4500 PSI hose with two female foster quick disconnects. Get a high pressure 90 degree fitting for the bottom/input on the filter for the compressor hose output connection.

Nice quality product. Threads are machined well, comes with quick connect fittings installed, has some spare parts included. Delivers very dry air to my guns.

You will need a double male adapter and hose to connect to your airgun/tank. A little cheat to recharge the media and keep the filter working well for cheap is to pull one end off the filter and use a hair dryer to heat up the dessicate for a couple minutes. It does add volume to your fill which will increase your fill times if that is important to you.

A better description of the product is needed. My Air Venturi air filter arrived without and manual or instructions. Those items do not appear to be currently available anywhere online. The description on the Pyramid Air site lacks detail, and I was unable to find any details on the Air Venturi site.

In the Q&A section I had asked if this unit could be loaded with molecular sieve beads to dry the air. The answer said it would need screens to keep the beads out of the air lines, and it might be a difficult build. I asked this because, unlike many similar air dryer/filters, there were no photos or descriptions indicating that the Air Venturi air filter actually comes with molecular sieve beads loaded inside it. Imagine my surprise when I opened the end cap to see if I needed to load it with the cylindrical air filters that came with the unit, and several thousand molecular sieve beads spilled all over the place. The cylindrical air filters do not fit snugly in the air filter tube, and will slide right out. The poor fit also means air will pass between the filter elements and the tube, rather than going through the filter elements. I am going to install O-rings on the filter elements to force the air through them.

easy to install, which is a good thing because you get absolutely no instructions with this, and when you ask for them on how to or how often to replace the filter medium you get ZERO response

I did not get any instruction paper work with this filter. I have called Pyramid Air's customer service line and Tech line 4 times and cannot get through. The message says 'leave your name and number and we will call you back'. No call back after 4 tries over 3 business days. I guess I will try again tomorrow morning.

I have bought items from Pyramid Air for more than 7 years and never had this problem before.
