Description
This kit provides shooters with a great package for hunting and pesting, because it combines a versatile and accurate semi-automatic air rifle for fast follow-up shots with a scope for added accuracy and a sling for additional mobility. It features a Benjamin Premium Air Rifle Sling, plus a CenterPoint 4-16x40 AO Rifle Scope with illuminated TAG-style reticle, 1" tube, and Picatinny rings.
The Benjamin Marauder Semi-Auto PCP Air Rifle with wood stock is Benjamin's first semi-automatic version of the legendary Marauder, and it's been specially engineered with a new 10-shot magazine to virtually eliminate jams. Built off of Benjamin's Field and Target platform, this airgun may look similar to many other Marauder models, but it has a redesigned and upgraded interior with new parts that unleash its semi-auto capability. This air rifle has a regulator that provides a remarkably consistent shot string, and the power can be adjusted with the hammer spring screw.
The new design allows for semi-auto shots as fast as you can pull the trigger, with a cyclic rate of around 300 rounds per minute, depending on the speed of your reflexes, which allows for a very quick follow-up shot. At factory power, it gets 50-60 shots at around 900 FPS with about 22 FPE, while at full power it gets 30-40 shots at around 950 FPS with over 28 FPE. It has a Picatinny optics rail for your choice of optics, and a full-barrel shroud that puts it firmly at the quieter end of the scale.
The Benjamin Marauder Semi-Auto Air Rifle with wood stock provides consistent and accurate semi-auto shooting at a price that's lower than expected for the features included. Whether you're using it to hunt small game or for target practice, this air rifle has what you need. With traditional Marauder quality, refined looks, and premium craftsmanship, you'll definitely enjoy this exciting and fast-firing airgun.

8 of 8 Benjamin Marauder Semi-Auto Kit Reviews
Semi-automatic
Things I Would Have ChangedCharging handle and forward assist don’t always work properly with the hammer not fully retracting blocking insertion of the magazine
The air rifle is well designed and built. Good value for the money.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe 10 round magazine is a problem. I frequently encounter problems with the magazine not advancing after a shot is fired.
What Others Should KnowThe manufacturer needs to redesign the magazine to function reliably
Semi auto when it worked
Things I Would Have ChangedImprove design before selling
What Others Should KnowReturned for repair but still having problems. Jams ups and poor charging handle design plus only one in seven magazines worked well . Don't buy this semi auto PCP unless you can repair it yourself. It was fun when it worked. Not sure it worth the shipping cost to have it repaired a second time..
Looks nice, semi auto function is cool.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe magazines are getting tore up from the bolt in semi auto , either magazine rotation out of timing, or, magazine is not able to rote fast enough to keep up.
What Others Should KnowTears up the magazines.
Turkish Walnut Stock with adjustable cheek riser, (Picture is outdated, does not come with black plastic cheek riser anymore) Semi Auto Firing, Shrouded Barrel, 60 shots per fill, Consistent Velocity, 2LB trigger pull, Reliable Feeding Action, Decent Accuracy
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter finish sanding on the stock, under the cheek riser specifically. Better quality control on screw tensions. All 4 receiver screws were loose out of the box. Trigger guard retention screw FELL OUT on my 2nd magazine, hole was stripped. Cannot lock the charging handle back (huge negative!) If you fire on an empty magazine, you have an excellent chance in blowing the breech O-Ring out of the barrel and jamming the magazine in the receiver.
What Others Should KnowI had to open my SAM twice in my first 2000 rounds. Once to file down the charging handle and receiver at the very front, they were not fitted properly and had peened each other to the point the charging handle could not be pulled back easily. 2nd time I had to open up the gun was to polish out a burr on the trigger bar / sear. The anodizing had worn off, and the trigger would not reset without a push from my finger forward. This gun is fun to shoot. Reasonable accurate (3/4" groups at 25 yards) and gets great shot count (60 per fill). It runs on 3000 PSI and uses 1200 PSI of air to fire 60 shots. If you are tinkerer, this is a great gun. If you expect a gun to be "hands off" and do not like to get into the internals, I would stay away from it.
The semi auto is a nice feature and makes this a fun gun to shoot, at 2600 psi I can get 40 rounds with good grouping at 50 yards, the gun did not like lighter amo it just flung the rounds all over, above 18g is the sweet spot, from a kneeling position you can get 1" groups, the gun is on the heavy side about 8lb all in with scope, I knew this from the reviews, this was not a issue for me, the sling it came with is nice and makes carrying the gun easy, the wood stock is well made some checkering would have been nice but not a deal breaker for me, if you have small hands this gun may not be for you, the stock is on the large side and with the Triger location you may have a hard time, overall I am very pleased with this gun
Things I Would Have ChangedIt would be nice to be able to keep the bolt open after emptying the magazine, I do not have any problem reloading it by holding the bolt back, big issue is at the range I have to put a spacer in the breach
What Others Should KnowIf you intend to use this for hunting, check your state laws, small game hunting is some states you can not use a semi auto
A semi auto Marauder? You bet! It works as advertised. Fun, fun, fun!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe price clearly. If you are into PCPs then it costs money to play. The trigger on mine was serviceable but long and mushy. I would liken it to a polymer framed striker fired pistol. Perhaps a more traditional rifle trigger feel would be nice.
What Others Should KnowThe cocking stroke at the end of the pull is stiff and requires a firm grip. Do not short stroke it. If you do you have loaded a pellet but not cocked the trigger. Remove the magazine and properly cock the rifle and shoot the chambered pellet without the magazine in. If you reinsert the magazine you will have a double feed. Once you fire the pellet in the chamber with the magazine out simply re-insert the magazine and fully cock the rifle.
In my limited shooting so far my rifle does not care for the Excite Plinking pellets at 50 yards.

It's a great gun for the money it shoots great, bought it with a scope and had it signed in. It's money well spent. It likes certain pellets better than others. It takes time getting used to the semiauto action.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowIt likes crosman pellets best.
