Cold Steel's Ti-Lite Blades/Folding Knives evoke the sleek speed and rebellious lines of the classic 1950's switchblade. Often imitated, but never equaled, the Ti-Lite (designed by the late, great Phil Boguszewski) is a masterpiece of performance and style. The Ti-Lites are equipped with our stainless-steel leaf spring locks (proven, in our tests, to hold upwards of 145 lbs). For ease of carry, the Ti-Lites come equipped with a small, but unobtrusive steel pocket clip, and can be opened rapidly by using the thumb studs or by snagging a quillon on the edge of your pocket as you draw your knife out. Available with four inch or six inch plain edged blades, and a six-inch serrated version. The handles are made of Griv-Ex in a flat dark earth color. I got this knife from my spouse for Christmas. I absolutely love it. I’ve wanted one for a long time. Everything’s tight and it absolutely looks beautiful. Thanks sweetheart. Next to the cold steel Espada XL which is my absolute favorite the ti lite is my next favorite
I bought this knife with a serrated blade and it's GREAT! Even when the blade is retracted, the Ti-Lite is a superb weapon, but the serrated blade really makes the knife. The cross-draw, combined with blade serrations, makes this a perfect EDC for people who don't want, or can't get, a concealed weapons permit. In fact, it’s replaced my Vaquero Grande®. I heartely recommend it in plain or serrated. But for self defense, go with the latter.
This is of solid construction. It looks great and comes quite sharp. After carrying this nearly every day for a month in south Florida, though, there is a tiny bit of rust on the metal in the handle, visible through one of the plastic holes, so I should keep it somewhat oiled being that I keep it in my pocket all day. My gripes: I wish the clip would be ambidextrous, and that the front quillion would stick out more so it could be flipped open like a flipper knife. Other than these, I love this knife and it has impressed many.
What can I say cold steel is the best! This is my second purchase from them and I love both items! The quality is amazing! The pictures really don’t do it justice! Thank you so much!
