I purchased this item a month ago after my 1st Voyager of 35 years passed away. I believe that Cold Steel knives are without a doubt the best knives on the market.
I bought this knife after I had an incident with my kids. Was with my 8 and 4 year old at a gas station up north in Illinois. Some guy approached me while I was with them inside the gas station while they were looking at the toy cars. I got a bad vibe from back up with my kids slowly. Long story short I could tell he was up to something and slowly walked out…. I think he could tell by my look I meant business…. But that day I didn’t have my blade with me!! Never again. I after watching the video I was sold. I got the knife and I thought twice about carry it cause it is huge! But after putting it in my pocket and playing with it, it’s a go! I want anyone that tries to attack me or my family and I can’t get to my forearm; I want them to think twice when they see that come out! Plus I know it will end a violent situation quickly as that is my goal when with my family and kids.
I've had mine for 10 years and just now I've been thinking of getting a replacement. Voyager with serrated edge is a superb knife for landscaping , construction , hunting, hacking. I've used it and abused it. Will always recommend.
Had this knife for yrs , I carry it because it is sharp ,stays sharp and is so useful . Best folding knife I own.
Owned this for years since watching video of cutting rubber hoses and rope. This one rides in the tractor or works in the shop to cut any soft linear material. Easily cuts electrical rope when fencing cattle. Impressive grip and lock.
Bought a couple of years ago and have so far never needed to use it, thank God. The point is directly in line with the handle, making it a good thrusting knife. The deep 'belly' makes it an excellent slashing knife, and the serrations make it extra dangerous (I cut myself closing it). It can be used quickly in any posture you are in, and in most situations. Carries discreetly and opens quickly.
