The Diana Trailscout CO2 Air Rifle is based on the first-ever CO2 airgun from Diana and is powered by three 12-gram cartridges. It uses a patented 3-cartridge carriage system. According to Diana, once loaded, this system provides enough gas for about 100 shots per fill.

For those familiar with Diana's instant-classic, price-point Stormrider PCP air rifle, the Trailscout might just look like a clone with a synthetic stock. Upon closer inspection, however, it's an entirely different animal.

Diana's Trailscout CO2 air rifle is an ideal little plinking/target/pest-elimination shooter. And, with the convenience of a CO2 power plant, it makes packing along enough air for all-day shooting a breeze. In addition, the reported 100-shot-per-fill count means you'll spend more time shooting and less time and effort carrying and reloading lots of CO2 cartridges.

If you're looking for a fun, practical airgun that handles itself well at everything from backyard plinking and target shooting to taking small game and eliminating pests and small predators, then look no further than the Diana Trailscout air rifle.

Things I liked:

Extreme accurate have tried 5 different pellets and all perform well. Can actually get about 70 shots before the gun starts to drop the pellet as the power starts to trail off. at 30 yards xcan get a grout of 7 shots in size of quarter.

Things I would have changed:

to bad that the mags do not hold more than 7 shots. Have three mags and still wish i could get more shots

What others should know:

Well worth the price.

Things I liked:

the accuracy is pellet on pellet at 25 ft cant wait for the wi. weather to warm up so i can shoot at a farther distance

Things I would have changed:

i think the older ones had a wood stock which i would prefer i did not like the composite stock as i have had shoulder replacement surgery and this stock with its hard rubber but plate dug into my shoulder to much solved the problem with a buck rail ar conversion the gun looks awsume and doesn't hurt my shoulder

What others should know:

well worth the purchase

Things I liked:

Everything! This thing shoots straight as a laser of the box, feels good in the hands, makes relatively little noise for what it is, and even looks good too. I've even found that for those times that you don't want to invest 3 cartridges, you can swap out just the top one and you have enough juice to shoot 4 full clips at targets. My favorite airgun at the moment. it's so accurate and so comfortable to shoot that in the 25 or so yard range that I have setup in my backyard, I just about can't miss, and if I do, I know it's not the gun's fault.

Things I would have changed:

This gun is awkward when its low on juice. It won't have enough pressure to shoot, but more than enough pressure to make unscrewing the co2 compartment difficult, forcing you to dry fire it a few times to be able to unscrew the cap; a method for degassing would be nice. An option for a wood stock would be good too.

What others should know:

I experienced the issue where it didn't crack all three like it should, and i think it was because i didn't screw the cap on completely. If I'm careful to make sure that the O-ring is not visible after tightening, it seems to crack all three reliably. At any rate, a penny in the co2 compartment functions pretty well as a shim.

Can this 3 CO2 rifle be stored with partial CO2 liquid/gas left in cartridges?

It is never recommended to leave CO2 in a gun.
