The Element Optics Helix 6-24x50 FFP 30mm APR-1C MRAD riflescope offers desirable high-end features that are surprising for its price level. It provides the performance expected by demanding shooters by utilizing dependable turrets, fully multicoated lenses for sharp views, and a reticle that makes it easy to shoot accurately across a wide range of distances and conditions.
The APR-1C MRAD is an all-purpose reticle designed by Matt Dubber, a renowned competition shooter. It is the "clean" version of the reticle, with a less-complicated design that features fewer markings than the D version. It uses a first focal plane (FFP) design with 1/10 (the click value), .2, .5, and 1 mil lines, numbered holdover indicators, and tapered bars at the edge of the horizontal line, plus a fine dot at the center.
Unlike the weaker metals used to make turrets in competing scopes, the turrets in the Element Optics Helix are produced using stainless steel components for additional longevity. This means that the scope will withstand the frequent adjustment and re-adjustment needed during use. The turrets feature a hard mechanical zero-stop, are resettable, tool-free, and have an 11.6 MRAD windage range and an 18.9 MRAD elevation range, with both using 1/10 MRAD clicks and 6 MRAD revolutions.
This scope has side-focus with parallax-free views from 10 yards to infinity, as well as 3.7"-4" of eye relief, and a removable magnification throw lever. The lenses deliver a crisp picture despite poor weather or lighting conditions because they are shockproof, fogproof, waterproof, and nitrogen purged.
