Although I am 70 yo, retired Military, decorated marksman, n healthy in general, the break barrel force is practically too much for me. Can anything be done? Don’t won’t gas or Powder assisted guns. This rifle requires two hands, full strength of both arms n the proper positioning of the stock to actuate/cock the piston!!

Quality build. To Heavy for a average female's or older person. (I had my wife and her friends pick it up.) I lift weights and the break on the barrel is over 45 lbs. Haven't fooled with the trigger yet still getting use to it. Attempted to use the scope but not luck in getting it dialed in. I put a better one on.

Still breaking it in and matching pellets to the barrel. So to soon to comment on how accurate it is. And you better work out with lat pull downs to cock the break barrel . Not kidding get strong or you will not be shooting long.

I only took a handful of shots (without even zeroing in the fine scope sold with it) and it was astonishingly accurate. It looks like a real monster rifle and handles like one (it's heavy). It just looks impressive, and acts like it, too. The new-fangled magazine is pretty impressive, too. Insert, then cock-load-shoot. Ten times.

Add a warning to the verbiage on its web page that you have to be either a bodybuilder, weight lifter, Superman, or person in otherwise extraordinarily good physical shape to even begin to break this barrel. It requires a force I in my elder dotage (=old f*rt) am unable to muster. It was a challenge just shooting those few rounds because the exertion necessary to break the barrel was so extreme I had to sit on my posterior at home for a couple hours in my adjustable sofa after coming home from the range, causing me to bemoan and bewail my decrepit fate. This is not a rifle for a child or even a young adult who lacks olympic-force strength in their arms.

Only buy it if you are in very good condition. It requires a sh*t-ton of strength to cock it. Pyramyd agreed to the return for a refund minus their cut of the take. I instead will be buying the Gamo Swarm Fusion Gen 3i because Airgun Annie says it's easier to cock. But my goodness it looks pretty cool.

I like the way it looks first of all. I put a UTG 3-12X44 scope on it and it wound up looking even better. I like the fact that it has an adjustable trigger but I did just order some M2.5X8 screws that should make the trigger even lighter even though it's good enough as it is. Really like the 10 shot magazine, people complain about it but I treat my guns with great care so I rarely ever have issues. It's super quiet for what it is. It's the ultimate survival rifle in my opinion. Nitro piston airguns last a rather long time and this one is particularly powerful.

I wish it was easier to clean the barrel but it's doable.

It is rather heavy but I figured out a way to hold it steady. I'm a relatively strong guy but my arms shake when I hold it like I would any other rifle. I use my left arm as a prop, I hold it closer to the trigger mechanism instead of out towards the barrel as one usually would. Works for me. The weight does help with recoil but beware, the scope stop feature on the Gamo rail is entirely necessary to utilize. This thing WILL move your scope due to how powerful it is unless you use a scope stop and/or an especially sturdy set of scope rings.
I'm happy with this rifle overall, all I want to do is shoot it. There's nothing like hiking around a beautiful area with an airgun like this. It's fun and a healthy hobby in my opinion.
I use H&N Terminator pellets and they work well, massive energy dump. I tried the Spitzkugel pellets but they aren't as accurate although they whistle through the air which is cool and the penetrate well.
I suggest using heavier pellets, you'll get greater accuracy.

Put 500 rounds through mine so far very impressed. Great power and accuracy for a break-barrel. The scope is not bad not good. No range/windage indicators but it’s got a clear image. The swarm mags are great flawless function so far. The trigger is very mushy out the box but it’s an easy fix (see next). Stock feels high quality. A bit tricky to bring the rifle up to shoulder when it’s resting forward on a sling cause there’s nothing to get your thumb up under. That’s all Monte Carlo style stocks though. If you want to be able to bring the rifle up to shoulder super fast you might want the non pro variant. I haven’t chrono’d mine yet but from the videos I’ve seen online it seems to be remarkably consistent. Pyramid always brings great deals great service.

The trigger needs a special screw to turn it into a great sub 2lb trigger. It’s an m2.5 45x10mm. You can find them at hardware stores for less than a dollar. If you tighten it all the way the sear won’t engage or it could fire the moment it’s cocked so take care make sure it’s unloaded and fine tune it to where it’s safe. Look up a tutorial. Give it the ol’ drop test make sure it doesn’t fire on its own after fine tuning. You DO NOT want accidental discharge on a rifle this powerful. If you buy the trigger screw and a good AO scope for around 150$ you would have an absolutely killer setup for around $500. Honestly nothing beats it for that price. Nothing even comes close frankly. Gamo did really well with this one.

Clean the barrel before you shoot it. Mine came filthy.
Rifle isn’t heavy but it feels heavier than I expected cause its length. I slapped a picatinny mounted split bipod on mine it’s way easier to shoot from a rest. It’s putting groups within a quarter at 25 yards. Be prepared for a workout when you go plinking.

Extremely accurate right out of the box. The velocity is very consistent. Using JSB Match Diablo Exact Jumbo 15.89 it had an avg velocity of 852fps with a STD dev of 10. Even with the cheap pellets you could cover the 25 yd group with a half dollar.

Do away with the cheap scope and lower the price.

This is one very good break barrel. It’s not for the frail or weak though. It takes an effort to cock it.
