H&N Baracuda Green .25 Cal

  • .25 caliber
  • 19.91 grains
  • Domed
  • Lead-free
  • 150 pellets

Although these are lead-free pellets, the tape that goes around the tin has warnings about the hazards of lead exposure. Be assured that the contents of the tin are, indeed, lead-free. This is just the standard tape H&N uses on all its pellet tins.

Domed pellets are considered the best shape for hunting and casual target shooting.

Things I liked:

I like how accurate these are at the 20 yards I have room for to shoot safely in my yard. When fired from a Walther Reign UXT .25 Caliber, I got 826 fps at the muzzle rating a 30 FPE. I also got a 1.1" shot group at 20 yards. Very consistent size and shape and ease of loading the magazine.

Things I would have changed:

More pellets for fewer dollars

What others should know:

Don't have to worry about lead in your yard. Not ideal for eliminating larger pests. fine for smaller pests.

Things I liked:

Good shooting pellet in my Marauder

Things I would have changed:

Nothing that I can think of as far as design. Like I said they shot good in my Marauder

What others should know:

Although they shot well with some small groups I dont feel that theyre worth more than twice the price. If I needed a lead free pellet for hunting in a particular area I know these work well. But for everyday shooting theyre not worth the extra cost.

Things I liked:

Wow these pellets are nice n hit hard like the GTOs!! The accuracy they produce outta my hatsan 135QE break barrel is nice!!! Definitely a hunting pellet. A++++ they expand nice like a space ship. Granted my group is all over the place but everyone knows the hatsan 135 mod is a hunting tool but did well in target with these in my opinion.

Things I would have changed:

Make them cheaper but as a hunter i understand why per tin at that price so fair game maybe tell the manufacturer to make them cleaner cause i still see metal or lead dust all over my fingers but just that

What others should know:

Get them while they last they sell quick like the gtos im glad i picked up 2 more tins!!! They will go that you should know lol

  • John from USA asked:

How come the Tin on the .25" cal says, "For PCP Rifles only"?

    • mrmrogden from USA answered:

They have the "For PCP Only" in every size and i feel this likely applies to only lower power output springers, for instance the smaller HW 30/50/35 could have an issue depending on bore and or any skirt imperfections. Also the models 77/95/97 and such that are available in .25 that are very under powered in .25, but not to slam HW or others but depending where you might be in the EU even more restrictions on power output, for instance with a choked Diana barrel and it likely would be an even bigger issue.

    • Mark from USA answered:

The manufacturer feels you need to shoot these from PCP airguns. You can shoot these from a springer.

  • Bosco from USA asked:

So can these be used in my Hatsan 125 springer ?

    • Pyramyd from USA answered:

Sure, they're the same weight as the H&N FTT Lead pellets, so you should be fine

  • Robert from USA asked:

Will these fit in an FX Wildcat magazine?

    • Tyler Patner from USA answered:

Yes, but if you need lead free, go with the Predator GTO pellets, they will likely work better than these in the FX guns as they are based off of the JSB pellet design which FX guns tend to prefer
