The Hatsan Velox PCP Pistol is an airgun with semi-auto operation designed for reliability and performance in a lightweight and compact format. With lead pellet velocities of up to 620 FPS in .22 and 580 FPS in .25, and power up to 12.6 FPE in .22 and 15 FPE in .25, this air pistol provides accurate shots for plinking and target practice.
One of the most noticeable improvements on this airgun is the improved trigger system that results in a remarkably smooth and consistent pull with an incredibly crisp and pleasing break every time. In addition, this is a semi-auto air pistol, meaning the time it takes to empty the magazine is limited only by the speed with which the shooter can pull the trigger.
The accuracy of the Hatsan Velox is enabled in part by the precision rifled and choked German steel barrel that is shrouded to reduce the noise of each shot and increase the steadiness of the barrel for consistent performance. It also includes a 1/2 UNF threaded muzzle that allows shooters to attach an external moderator to further lower the sound produced by a shot.
This air pistol provides a red fiber optic front sight and a removable and adjustable green fiber optic rear sight, as well as a combination 11mm Dovetail and Weaver optics rail. It also has a grip with texturing to offer a comfortable and slip-free hold, in addition to storage for the extra magazine in the bottom.

It's semi auto & . 25 cal ,and fun to shoot , shot counts pretty good two full clips per cylinder, cylinders are easy to change and fill up, the trigger is way better then the Hatsan shorty, it's also well balanced and light for how clunky it looks.
Things I would have changed:To much plastic, doesn't like h&n pellets every version I tried jammed. The field Target trophies 20 gran, The silver points 24 grain, and the Crow Magnums 26 grain, I'll jammed no matter the pressure Hi are low.
What others should know:This basically likes Hatsan pellets I've had no problem with the Hatsan pellets vortex strike 24 grain 25 caliber pellets I've had no jams with them and rws super-h-point 25 grain. This is basically a crosman 600 PCP version, definitely great for backyard plinker, if you got a Donnie FL tatsu it will quiet it down quite a bit and still be able to use the open sights, which I like using haven't tried a red dot or anything on it and probably won't it's a pistol and I plan to use it that way so if you're looking for a backyard pinker , this is it.

Very nice handgun very well made I can get three magazines out of a fill with 4-5 reduced velocity but still in the acceptable accuracy
Things I would have changed:Sometimes mag will jam on second shot you reach up with trigger finger and touch it and it settles magazine in place. If you are anticipating it then you learn trigger discipline and muzzle control.
What others should know:I put a Donny FFL for quite back yard plinking and have tried other air strippers from hatson with increased accuracy at longer range

Can you shoot slugs out of the velox
I don't know, I normally shoot crossman premier hollow point 14 grain and jsb 18 grain round nose. but I went ahead and tried jsb jumbo monster redesigned 25 grain pellets and they shot well and it cycles properly. they were low since I was shooting 50 yards. I realized that I miscounted how many pellets per fill.. two full magazines of 12 rounds. and they all shoot well until the last pellet, it's slightly less powerful and sounds different.
How's the trigger feel on this .22 Velox? Smooth and crisp or can you feel it dragging the magazine around?
smooth and crisp, I was surprised how good it is since my hatsan blitz is a very heavy trigger pull.. myself I am very happy with the gun and I would recommend it. also I would recommend getting 2 extra magazines so you have matching air capacity and magazines..
just curious, I have a Omega trail charger compressor and I got to wondering how many pumps it takes to fill the velox with a hand pump. it fills very quickly with my compressor but I was thinking about getting a hand pump for backup or if I want to take it somewhere thank you

Bought the 25 cal. Handles/balances well when shooting. Minimal recoil. Fair accuracy using open sights. Back yard friendly with Tanto moderator and Hank Williams Jr cover sound.
Things I would have changed:For the price supply 4 clips (2 per air cylinder) because 2 clips is what I get out of a full cylinder.
What others should know:It is pellet picky regarding cycling. Tried 4 different types of pellets and out of the 4 it will only cycle the JSB Exact King 25.39 gr pellets flawlessly These pellets also grouped the best out of the 4 so they are a win/win. Will retry the other 3 types again without the moderator and see if that makes a difference. All in all I like it!
