Excellent optics, and the 3 MOA dot (at the lowest power setting) is surprisingly visible under moderate lighting conditions. The 30mm objective allows rapid target acquisition. I am not new to Red Dot sights, but I am to using a scope on a pistol, having recently acquired a scope-equipped Crosman 2300 S from a colleague. The scope exacerbated the weight distribution for the already barrel-heavy 2300 S, making the pistol cumbersome to fire Off Hand. I purchased the Hawke as an alternative to the scope. Although the Hawke is relatively heavy in its own right, it greatly improved the weight distribution and hence the handling of the 2300 S. Boy, did this improve my groupings when firing Off Hand!! I am toying with purchasing a Benjamin Maurader, and will acquire a second Hawke Red Dot sight for that gun! This sight just feels solid throughout. The sight responds with precise "clicks" when adjusting AZ/EL, and the plastic tool Hawke provides enhances the tactile feedback.
Things I Would Have ChangedOther reviewers pretty much all agree that the rubber lens caps are cumbersome to use; I concur. I do wish Hawke offered this sight with a choice of color options. No complaints, though, because I knew Red was the only color currently availabile when I purchased this sight.
What Others Should KnowPerhaps my calculations were off when I did the AZ and EL adjustments to pair with my Crosman pistol, but my sight required almost twice as many clicks in both Az and El to obtain the adjustment I needed. I did my sighting from a bench with a bag rest, so aim-point selection wasn't an issue. In any event, I adapted to my sight's idiosyncrasies and completed the sight-in with no issues
Good value for the price. This is my first dot sight so I wasn't sure but it works great and is easy to use and sight in.

I like the clarity, looks, & weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it for 11mm rail not 9-11mm rail as it does not fit on Diana Chaser 11mm rail correctly. When you try to tighten down it cants the scope to the right. Not even close to being level or square on the Chaser. Was totally unuseable. Now is the scope or the gun. I say the adjustable mount does not work.
What Others Should KnowNot worth it to try scopes with adjustable mounts like this one.
