Hawke 4-16x44 AO Vantage SF Rifle Scope, 1/2 Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 1" Tube

Makes an excellent hunting scope as it's not excessively heavy for a 4-16. All controls work smoothly as they should. The Mil-dot reticle is great for long range holdover. The scope is plenty bright until the exit pupil gets small at the maximum magnification. Zero hasn't shifted any in many months of use but I have it mounted on a Weihrauch HW100S so it isn't subjected to vibration or recoil. All in all a very good choice for a hunting PCP rifle.

THIS scope will get the job done but

Field of view seems to be a little limited for a 44 mm objective. There is something strange going on with magnification on this unit.

This hawke scope will not work on my kral puncher breaker with high scope rings not enough vertical adjustment.

Side focus, not illuminated, good hunting reticle

not many clicks on the vertical turret, no +12 ft/lb springers, give me better scope caps

Put mine on a sub 12 ft/lb springer I use for pest control, nice

I gave a five star taking into consideration the price. I am sure there are better scopes but at twice the price..

I took off 6x24 ArgosFFP and installed this on my Wildcat 22. I use for squirrel hunting. Here in southern Illinois our woods and canopy are thick. Not like the YouTube hunters. this scope has poor dawn and dusk resolution. just fine as long as there is light. good shooting from 10 yds. to 60yds.
I don't know if I would buy it again. I had never owned a Hawke before and granted this is a Vantage but for more money I would go FFP.

This is the first Hawke scope I have used. Very High Quality for the price. Clear optics, I am able to focus at all powers, simple to use and light weight. The other fellow with the low rating must have gotten a rotten one and should have sent it back. I have this mounted on my Evanix Rainstorm .30 cal and so far so good. I like the simplicity, side focus and no frills operation. Eye relief is perfect for me.

Please note that this is not a high kick (breakbarrel) special and seems to be very well suited for PCP. If you have a heavy kick gun, look at UTG.
