Description
The Athlon Optics Heras SPR 2-12x42 Rifle Scope with AAGR1 SFP MOA reticle excels at quick and accurate hunting or target shooting. It uses a 1" aircraft-grade aluminum one piece tube for added durability and a high-precision erector system for well-defined and stable adjustments.
The scope utilizes advanced fully-multicoated lenses that yield clear and sharp views regardless of the conditions, with excellent light transmission and color fidelity. In addition, it is shockproof, waterproof, and argon purged, which leads to improved fogproofing compared to standard scopes with lesser purging material.
The Athlon Optics Heras SPR 2-12x42 has a locking windage turret that ensures it will stay set despite bumps or knocks, and the elevation turret features a precision zero stop that makes it easy to return to zero without losing focus. Both turrets adjust in a range of 70 MOA total, with 25 MOA adjustment per rotation in 1/4 MOA click increments.
The AAGR1 SFP (second focal plane) MOA reticle uses etched glass to provide consistent operation and visibility, and it is designed to have accurate measurements at the 12x magnification level. It features a fine center dot and marks every 1 MOA out to 30 MOA to the sides and 40 MOA to the bottom, in addition to larger hash marks and floating dots every 10 MOA, and a vertical crosshair that extends 20 MOA to the top.
To get a scope for short or long distance shooting precision, buy the Athlon Optics Heras SPR 2-12x42 Rifle Scope with AAGR1 SFP MOA reticle from Pyramyd AIR today.

2 of 2 Athlon Optics 2-12x42 Heras SPR Reviews
I own several Athlon scopes and recommend them often. This scope was mounted on a 22 lr and within 20 shots the reticle began to cant. Contacted Athlon and had a new scope within 10 days. The new scope has worked perfectly. Every company can put out a bad one now and then. Athlon customer service was flawless.

This scope has been on my own 10/22 Build rifle for getting into NRL.
The features are rich and for the price point this is very hard to find competition wise with even Vortex or others taken into for account.
The minimum zoom and maximum zoom are great for the ranges a .22 LR or WM will ever really need to do.
For some the second focal plane reticle may be a let down but for the use case where you are likely always going to be taking tricky shots at maximum zoom that negative is mostly no longer a problem.
Pro: VERY Clear glass, great magnification options, and one of the very best reticle for precision shooting. You can't go wrong with either the MIL Dot or MOA versions. Hard to come close when a price is so close to the 200-300 dollar range.
