Description
This Hawke Sport Optics scope has a 1 inch mono-tube chassis providing all the added stability you could ever need for the punishing recoil of magnum airguns. This riflescope easily meets the needs of both long range and precision shooters.
The fully multi-coated lenses are waterproof, shockproof, and nitrogen filled for the best possible light transmission.
This Hawke scope has an etched-glass reticle, which is superior to a wire reticle because it's much more precise, giving you more accuracy from your gun. Another way that etched-glass reticles are superior to wire reticles is when they're illuminated. The etched ones show the illumination only on the reticle. It looks like the reticle is floating. Wire reticles often have a reflection of the illumination in the objective lens, which can be distracting when shooting.

9 of 9 Hawke Vantage 4-16x50 AO, Mil-Dot Reviews
I have two of these and have no issues, great clarity at all ranges.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
clear glass ,50mm ol great for under a canopy of trees, plenty of light
Things I Would Have Changednill
What Others Should Knowgreat price
Very nice. Works perfectly with the texan lss
I love this product very accurate and ease of use.
Things I Would Have ChangedNone
Nice clear optics with a reticle that is very easy to see and use.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish they had maintained the parallax adjustment range at 10 yards to infinity. Again I wish they would ship with battery not already installed.
Good scope for the money. Bright. Adjustments appear to be very good, no lag.
Things I Would Have ChangedIllumination (for me) is useful only at the dimmest setting on both red and green. The brighter settings are too dazzling for me.
What Others Should KnowThis is a good scope but would prefer it have six mil dots instead of four. I also like Hawkes AMX reticle and will get that in my next scope but this is no game changer and I'm happy with this particular optic.
My knowledge and Greg's advice led me to purchase this scope. No mistake made with this scope.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowThe sales persons will give you great advice.
Almost everything. Super durable, clear sight picture, simple parallax adjustment, useful mildots, bright illuminated reticle with ridiculously long lasting battery, precise MOA turrets, decent weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedFlip caps would be nice. Also, the scope very slowly creeps back from 16x zoom with every shot. This is a very minor issue, and is likely just be from my rifle being the "scope eater".
What Others Should KnowThis is simply a great scope. It has survived THOUSANDS of shots from my Diana 54 (which is known as one of the hardest rifles on scopes in existence), miles of improvised trail riding on a dirt bike through and over thick trees, rain, a single hard drop, and the ridiculous constant humidity of Maryland.
This is not even close to the most expensive scope I have ever bought, however, I believe whole heartedly that it's the most consistently accurate and surprisingly durable in its price range.
Remember to securely tighten down the four screws (two on each dial) holding down the windage and elevation dials. They started to get lose after only 100 shots, and made me think the scope was broken. It has since given me no problems except another reason to stay outside and catch Zika (or whatever the thing of the week we're supposed to be afraid is)

This is the second of this scope, and it went on my second Gamo swarm magnum. Yes twin guns in each cal(177-22). My first mounted on the 22. If you have any experience with the magnum you know this thing has recoil like no other gun I've fired(and I have fired hundreds of weapons). After about 2,000 shots on the scope I felt confident enough to grab another. At $200ish this scope rivals glass of a much higher$. A clear image at all magnification no fuzzy edges, smooth adjustment on zoom and parallax. Solid clicks on turrets. If you want a scope that has a zero lock you will need to take the next step up. That's more precise than I need so I just use the mill-dots to guess my hold (gun and scope dope is more math than I need in my day) this for me is better simply because I'm on a see it shoot it basis. Rather than sitting at a bench and knowing your exact distance. This is the scope I plann to put on my next powder burner.
Things I Would Have ChangedNo changes necessary to this product. Hawk has plenty of choices, just gotta pick a price range your comfortable with and just know the product will not disappoint.
