The UTG OP3 Compact 3-12x44 AO, UMOA, 1/4 MOA, 30mm, Picatinny scope is built using the True Strength platform to maximize performance and durability when subjected to the forces such as substantial recoil. It utilizes a 30mm aluminum tube and a 44mm objective that work in combination with the emerald multicoating on the optics to provide views with superior crispness and light transmission.
The target turrets provide a reinforced zero lock ring in addition to a zero reset feature, and can be used to adjust the scope for both elevation and windage using 1/4 MOA increments, and the fine-tuning eyepiece diopter allows for the best focus to be set and then locked. The scope yields defined and clear sight pictures despite low ambient light or inclement weather because it is fog proof, shockproof, nitrogen purged, and IPX7 waterproof rated.
The UMOA second focal plane (SFP) etched glass reticle includes hash marks that use MOA increments and features for holdover and hold under shooting, and can be used to estimate range. In addition, it includes the patented EZ-TAP Illumination Enhancing (IE) system, which uses two soft-touch buttons to select and adjust both red/green and 36-color modes that vary in intensity and tint to allow greater visibility of the reticle.
This scope's package includes valuable accessories such as a 3" removable threaded sunshade, flip-open lens caps, a CR2032 battery, Allen wrenches for adjustments, a cleaning cloth, manual, and a pair of MaxStrength medium profile Weaver/Picatinny rings. Compact size clear glass and fine reticle.
Things I would have changed:Maybe include 11 mm rings.
What others should know:This is a glass etched reticle so it's on the fine side. I do mostly target shooting and pesting and I love the reticle. The reticle will not cover small targets at 50-100 yards. Perfect for my needs.
