Allows a variety to see what the rifle will shoot most accurately. I am a handloader. You who do that know how you have to work up the most accurate load with several different weights and brands for each gun. And for guys who don't handload but shoot powder guns you have to try several brands and types of store bought ammo to see which is the most accurate in your particular gun. This sampler gives you four loads without buying 500 of an inaccurate pellet. These are excellently made pellets. Each fit the barrel the same. Before this purchase I've been buying my pellets at Wal Mart. Those pellets are not all the same in the container. You can feel the difference when you put them in the barrel. And they generate inconsistent groups.
Things I Would Have ChangedI thought I was going to have something to change when I couldn't find the sections of the box marked. There are five sections one empty. But I found the numbers on the bottom of the box. That along with the list on the label gives you what you need to know.
What Others Should KnowShot each weight /style and found what the gun shoots best. By the way, one of them is giving me 2" groups at 50 yards out of my Gamo break barrel. Much better than the Wal Mart ammo.
The variety
Things I Would Have ChangedPackaging (dial lid doesn't lock at all allowing pellets to fall out, Many damaged skirts(shipping problem?),cut out on top removes any identification and specs, Pellets are numbered,,,try numbering the divided slots (on the outside would make the most sense and the cost of shipping UGH!
What Others Should Knowmmmnuff said
VARIETY
Things I Would Have ChangedPRICE, BUT JSB PELLETS ALWAYS COST MORE, ALSO I WOULD HAVE THE 177 WEIGH IN IN 177 HEAVIER WITH GUNS THAT SHOOT @1000 FPS AND MORE, PELLETS ARE NOT ACCURATE (IN MY OPINION) WITH A GN THAT SHOOTS OVER 1000 FPS
What Others Should KnowMOST 177 CAL PELLETS ARE NOT ACCURATE WHEN GUN SHOOTS OVER 1000 FPS BUT MAYBE ITS JUST MY GUN OR ME
Being able to buy a variety in one package.
Things I Would Have ChangedFor the price I believe a 500 count package would be in order.
What Others Should KnowNone of these produced a great grouping in my generation 1 Diana Stormrider .177 PCP
It allowed me to find the pellet that shot the best out of my gun without purchasing 1000's of pellets.
Just bought a refurbished Gamo bonecollecter and bought these to try to determine what the gun prefers. JSB has a good reputation for quality and consistency and they appear to be just that. So far I've yet to figure out the artillery hold and am unable to stop the vertical stringing effect after a couple hundred shots. Very frustrating as I able to shoot 25 yd near 1/4" groups with my rimfire .22 and this is my first experience with a gas piston rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedFreight on this single item was over 50% of the product cost and it took nearly 10 days to arrive, take a lesson from Midway and their Nitro shipping system. Also the 4 chamber container was not labeled as to what was what. I resorted to my reloading scale to verify the grains to identify them by weights.
What Others Should KnowMost air gunners know that springers are difficult to shoot well and I'm getting a first hand view of that
Sampler packs are OK but I prefer the H&N hunter sampler.
Things I Would Have ChangedLid comes off easily and mixes the pellets. This has too many pointed and wad cutters, Better to have a sample of Domed and Hollow Points of varyingweight.
What Others Should KnowA five (5) count samplier of 80 each would be better.
4 different pellets to try all in one package without having to purchase them separately.
Things I Would Have Changed"Carefully selected" label is misleading. I'm new to air rifles and the concept of pellet sorting, head size, pellet grain etc. so I decided to look at each pellet. 16%, 64 out of 400 were deformed in the skirt with either a flat spot on one or multiple sides and clear mold lines with lead still attached. 27 straton, 18 exact RS, 9 exact heavy, 10 exact. By comparison my 300ct Beeman Kodiak match had ZERO defective pellets.
What Others Should KnowI have not shot any of the pellets for accuracy, but a visual inspection and comparison to the Beeman Kodiak Match and H&N Hunter Pellet sampler place the JSB sampler a distant 3rd on physical pellet quality. Disappointing due to the label implying the pellets went through some form of sorting and selection.
This sampler pack allowed me to try four different pellet weights and determine which is best for my gun, without buying 500 pellets in each weight. I've been shooting 7.9 grain wadcutters through my new CO2 pellet revolver while sighting the gun in on ten meter range targets. I was easily able to determine that my revolver shot more accurately with the 7.3 grain pellets in the sampler.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe packaging is a bit disappointing. I have seen lead 'split shot' fishing weights in better packaging, where the top is clear plastic and there is a pin attaching it to the base so you can spin the top to select the weight of pellets that you want. You can see the different compartments, and the different weight pellets don't get mixed up.
What Others Should KnowBecause CO2 pistols have shorter barrels than rifles, and less power than pump up, spring or gas guns they aren't going to throw the heavier 10.3 grain pellets very well past thirty feet. They are still great pellets for plinking.

The ability to test various pellets without having to invest in a large quantity.
Things I Would Have ChangedTruth in advertising & labeling...Both the description and container state the pellet head sizes as: Exact 4.52, Exact RS 4.52, Exact Heavy 4.52, and Staton 4.50... My Crosman Shockwave NP prefers pellets with head sizes 4.51-4.52, however the vast majority of pellets I tried of the Exact, Exact RS, and Statons fit very loosely, to the point of falling out off the breech, causing two dry fires. Needless to say, the pellets that didn't fall out gave me 1-2 inch five shot groups at 20 yards as opposed to .375-.5 five shot groups at 35 yards with H&N Barracuda FTs I believe these sample packs are a way for the manufacturer to pass off the pellets that dont meet quality standards, head size, weight variations, etc.slide
What Others Should KnowIf you choose to spend your money for this sample pack, be prepared that the pellets may not meet your expectations
