KWA LM4 RIS PTR Metal Gas Blowback Airsoft Rifle

I don't play airsoft games; I just wanted a realistic replica to learn and practice with this style of rifle. I have several KWA pistols and like them. This rifle looks right and feels right to me. It is more accurate than I am. I've fired about 300 rounds through it and like it so far.

There is a problem with the magazine in that you cannot tell how many BBs have been loaded or how many remain in the magazine -- the magazine is a black box; this is a design flaw. You'll find yourself doing a lot of counting. Also, the tiny Oring in the gas charging valve quickly blew off (I guess) and gas charging after the first charge became a very leaky process. Strangely, Pyramyd Air does not sell replacement Orings. Seems like KWA should include an extra Oring or two with each magazine. Fortunately, I managed to find another source for Orings. To Pyramyd Air: You really should sell replacement Orings for gas charging valves.

My LMR was shipped without an instruction manual. This wasn't a particular problem as I quickly found a copy of the missing manual online at KWA. Fortunately, this is a simple rifle to operate. However, the omission of the manual made me realize that some of the packing inside the KWA box was missing as well. So I suspect that my rifle had been opened, "inspected" and repacked. The rifle was shipped double boxed and seems to be in good condition and complete with all parts except the manual. It works well; however, I'm uncomfortable about the missing manual and packing.

I had previously acquired a KWA "speed loader" and it works very well with these magazines. Strangely, the KWA speed loader also was shipped without instructions. I'd been using it in a hacked up manner with pistol magazines but managed to figure out how to use it with these rifle magazines. However, as noted previously, you cannot tell how many BBs have been loaded.
