Description

Cick on the AMMO link to stock up on BBs and pellets. Find targets and other shooting gear by clicking on our ACCESSORIES link.

The 760 Pumpmaster with a black synthetic stock, silver barrel and black 4x scope. This is what all the other multi-pump pneumatics want to be! In production for decades, over 10 million 760s have been sold. It shoots BBs (as a repeater) or .177 pellets (5-shot clip) and does so with power and accuracy.

At less than 3 lbs., it's a great starter air rifle. The Pumpmaster takes 3 to 10 pumps to send BBs up to 625 fps and pellets up to 600 fps. The checkering on the grip and the grooves on the pump handle make it that much easier to get a grip and stay on target.

Ideal for plinking and target shooting. (Never shoot BBs at metal objects!) It's so light that you can shoot all day! Suitable for younger shooters (with adult supervision) and smaller adults.

Pellets are loaded into a 5-shot manual clip, while BBs have an 18-shot magazine, which is fed from the 200-shot reservoir. Includes a fixed front sight and a rear sight that's adjustable for elevation. The 4x scope has a focusing eyepiece, coated lenses and turret adjustments.

I like the stainless Barrel but the gun is so short it looks like a toy

I would add a baby Reservoir. No one wants to constantly reload

This rifle has no bb Reservoir I returned it the same day I got it

Great starter gun for a yongster, easy to use and teach the basics.

Pumping isn't fun but what you going to do?

You really don't need more than 4-5 pumps to shoot cans and 8 pumps for near max power. Trash the sight it comes with and use the iron sights or get a semi decent budget sight to mount. The included sight just makes everything harder.

I really regret purchasing this gun and doing it online. I have an old Pumpmaster...maybe 20-years old, and while solid, it's loud like a shotgun. Expecting a new and refined version of this gun was a big mistake. The gun is made of plastic and a thin-walled bent sheet-steel barrel. The pumping action is horrible. And shooting the gun...sounds like a shotgun!

I would change my expectations thinking this gun would be a good idea.

This is not a Pyramyd Air problem, but a general 'online purchase' problem. Because of the low-price, it was not logical to return the gun to Pyramyd. Shipping and 20% restocking fee didn't make sense. So now I've got a horrible gun, sitting in the box. I'll re-gift the gun for a nephew this Christmas.

That thin walled sheet metal isn't the barrel. It's a shroud that fits over the metal barrel. The barrel is a smooth bore, and will not have the accuracy that a rifled barrel will. Buy, you can buy a rifled barrel that will fit the 760/764SB. I have a new 760, and it shoots pretty decent at 7-11 yards. I think it's a fun liitle airgun. Is it as accurate as my better rifled airguns? No way. Best group with my 760? Just under .25" for a 3 shot group. That would be about 8 yards. But, that was a rare group. I have rifled airguns that a .25" group at 10 yards I consider only half decent. But, I bought the 760 knowing what it was, and I still enjoy shooting it. Maybe you should have ponied up some money and bought a new Benjamin 397? All metal and wood. But, you could buy like 5 760's for the price.

This has a STAINLESS STEEL BARRELL, which means no rust and it will last forever. Very few higher priced guns have this cool feature in any price range

The Only thing, I didn't like was the synthetic Stock, how ever in his price range, you can not expend a checkered Woodstock. The Gun is very light and is designed for beginners.

The Price is right, and can not be beat on this longtime Crosman gun. Remember it shoots both Pellets and BBs.

Jon Aug 21, 2016

I've seen pictures of guys that made really nice wood stocks for these. It can be done....but don't know if I'd try doing it.

Cheap and fun

the scope+. as it is prety much worthless.

This is an excellent bb gun, have shot many and was among my first. One thing everyone should know is, well it can take alot of pumps, more then 10 for sure, it is rygged yet rusts esily. Very fun and a great buy for first timers!

i got it for my 10yr old son, it was just the right size for him, we had to play with the sights a little to get it dialed in, but for the most part a great gun

i wish the back sights were adjustable side to side so you can dial in the gun better, but for the most part i like the gun and my son like it too

the scoop may or may not be a good thing for younger shooter, i kinda beleive you need to be able to hit with open sights before you use a scoop. but for the price, it is a great gun even if you just put the scoop on a shelf for later, at least you have if you want it ..... but you will need to adjust the scoop and dial it in, which may or may not be a easy thing, depends on if you like scoops or not. me i just but in on the shelf.

Jon Aug 21, 2016

I was taught many years ago, to shoot using open sights. And, that was using a 6:00 hold, which most shooters agree is the most accurate hold for bullseye shooting. Now that I'm 62, it's pretty much all scopes. I think using open sights is very important.

Rob Nov 05, 2011

I agree that it is best to teach open sight aiming before using a scope.

powerful

Accuracy. Is not accurate at all with bbs or pellets, used crossman copperhead bbs and tried 3 brands of pellets.

It shoots all over the place. No consistency.

Jon Aug 21, 2016

Concerning Daisy and Crosman pellets and bb's. Many shooters go with the Daisy pellets, as they seem more accurate, and go with the Crosman pellets, for the same reason. I would pretty much agree with that. But, you may have to do a lot of shooting from a rest before you come up with a pellet your airgun likes. To me, that's fun.
