Gletcher APS gold Limited Edition pistol
The Gletcher Stechkin airgun in its unique gold-color finish is an incredibly realistic copy of the Soviet Stechkin pistol. Introduced to the Soviet military in 1951, the original firearm was used along with the Makarov. The luster of the finish and the decorative black and gold Russian Stechkin pattern truly make this pistol stand out.
Featuring a blowback system and a weight and size identical to the original, this airgun has a high level of authenticity and realism. This replica pistol is quite large and will fill your hand. Use it for fun, or use it to maintain firearm proficiency. Either way, you won't want to put it down! Delivers semi-auto action.
Steel BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area, as rebounding ammo can hit them, too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water, as that increases the chance of ricochet. Low ricochet, lead BBs may be used with this airgun.

Things I liked: The Gold Motif was exceptional,The Gold surface appeared to be flawless and had the look of a custom engraving job.I was surprised when I opened the box the gun was encased in a beautiful polished wooden box with a large gold G on the wooden cover. I do not plan on shooting this but I will buy at sometime the standard version.
Things I would have changed: Nothing" Perfect "
What others should know: I think this is a limited run and they might be in short supply If you're into this type of air gun then I'd get it.

Can I Make this model extended clip? If so what do i have to do?
Does the slide lock after the last BB?
I have read that this pistol comes in a wood display case. Can you confirm if that is true? If it does come in a wood display case, can you please post a picture of the case...Thank you...

Things I liked: The gold finish and the decorative black artwork are the most appealing feature to this pistol. Except for the grips, the pistol is all metal. Even the stick magazine is metal. The pistol construction seems to be very good. When shooting, the pistol operated very well and reliably. The first shot can be fired in double action or single action. Cocking the gun can be performed by moving the slide back or by directly pulling down on the hammer. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation. Accuracy is reasonably good in that the point of impact is approximately equal to point of aim with about a 2" to 3" spread. The hardwood case appears to be very sturdy and has what feels like a felt lined support.
Things I would have changed: This Stechkin would likely be much better with a full size magazine for both CO2 and BBs. The trigger pull is long and not as smooth as I would like because the trigger controls the mechanism that feeds the BB from the stick magazine to the barrel. I recommend changing the pistol design to use a full size CO2/BB magazine and to let the blowback slide operate the BB feed mechanism.
What others should know: I did 10 shot groups from a bench rested position at a distance of 18 feet to target using all of these BBs: Umarex, Copperhead, Daisy Premium, Daisy Avanti, Marksman, and Swiss Arms. The Stechkin produced consistent shot groups with all of these BBs in the 2" to 3.5" range without any BBs jamming. When shooting, you must fully commit to each shot using a complete follow-through on the trigger. Because the trigger controls the BB feed mechanism, if you pull the trigger half back, stop, return forward, and pull again, you will load and shoot two BBs at once. My total shot count on an Umarex CO2 cartridge was 60. I didn't find anything in the manual describing how to adjust the rear sight. Fortunately it's simple. The rear sight is adjusted by a rotating cylinder with four set points labelled simply 25, 50, 100, and 200. Just rotate the cylinder to the setting that puts your shots on target.
