Things I liked: The look and feel is very realistic. A little heavy but manageable. Very accurate at 30 meters. I get 4 magazines from a cylinder. I could shoot 5 but the velocity drops off as does accuracy. Not as loud as my Steel Force. I like the Sig red dot sight; very functional and perfect co-witness with open sights.
Things I would have changed: An extra magazine or belt with the gun would be great and most would pay extra for them. The vertical grip that comes with the gun is uncomfortable for a big hand; not enough room between grip and hand stop. I bought a Barska vertical grip that is perfect.
What others should know: I read many reviews regarding the velocity of various CO2 guns. But each manufactures description states: MAXIMUM Velocity, not guaranteed velocity. No doubt the manufacturers measure the velocities of their guns under optimum conditions: humidity, temperature with the best performing pellets. I am more concerned with accuracy than less than maximum velocity.
Things I liked: I did like the weight of the gun, and it looked cool. BUT my gun would get jammed every therd shot, so it went back......
Things I would have changed: im not a gun designer, but I guess the clip ?
What others should know: Jt co2's have less power than air venture at least when it came to the MCX gun I have not tried jt co2's in my walther lever action yet that's what replaced the MCX. ( witch i can't say enough about that gun)
Things I liked: Received an MCX back ordered since June 2015 - a lot of mental anguish during that very long wait. Looks great, but a big - actually huge - disappointment is that the 10-For-10 tape averaged 397 FPS. That's just over half the rated "Maximum Velocity' of 750 FPS, which to me spells defective. Even the Pyramid website shows a pretty dismal - but well above half the 750 FPS listed on the box - average of 487 FPS. That's about a hundred higher than my average. My high outliers/maximum were a just few FPS above Pyramid's lowest FPS. I got the factory lemon. Excellent Pyramyd reps got me an RMA number ASAP, and it looks like my wait to shoot one will be going into next year, since they appear to be out of stock. (I also spent added dollars for a chronograph now, since my confidence in the Sig and Pyramid brands is now shaken. What good was the 10-For-10 if they shipped a gun that so obviously fell significantly below the listed Sig spec - and how does Sig even let that gun out their doors ?)
Things I would have changed: Will update when I receive the replacement and actually use it.
What others should know: Sorry - this was not so much a review of the gun as it was a review of the quality and buying experience, Will update with comments more about the gun when the replacement arrives. I;m pretty sure when i get the replacement and it gets an average FPS in good conditions - fresh CO2, not cold temps - within 20-25% or even 30% of the Max Rated FPS, it will get more rating stars.
