The Athlon Optics Cronus ATS Pro 50-640 Thermal Scope represents an upgrade to the previous version of the flagship in this lineup, with improved features that lead to better accuracy for long-distance hunting at night. It has a thermal sensor with a NETD rating of less than 25mK to deliver views with stunning clarity and less noise because of its sensitivity to small differences in temperature.
The scope uses a 50mm objective lens to provide the best light-gathering capabilities in the line for a bright sight picture, and combines it with the 1440x1080 resolution on the .49" OLED display to produce crisp and bold views. In addition, it uses a 12-micron pixel pitch and an impressive 640x480 resolution on the thermal sensor to deliver superb detail and compact performance without added weight.
The Athlon Optics Cronus ATS Pro 50-640 is compatible with the Athlon Thermal app that works on Apple and Android devices to record audio and video, capture images, and more. It also works with the Athlon Ballistics app to store ammo and rifle profiles to help create custom holdovers, shot calculations, reticles, and more in coordination with the onboard ballistic calculator.
This scope has an automatic recording feature that can detect a shot and record three seconds of video before the shot and about seven seconds of video after the shot, as well as capture five images after the shot. The scope also allows for customization, including ten contrast levels, ten reticle brightness levels, seven color palette options, ten display brightness levels, ten reticles (five MOA and five MIL), and more.
