Beretta M9A3 C02 Pistol Packs Full-Auto Fun Into M9 Redesign
Whether you're looking for a super-realistic training tool, a fun basement/backyard plinker or are just a fan of finely crafted Italian sidearms, the new Beretta M9A3 select fire C02 air pistol is the airgun for you.
Officially licensed by Beretta, the Umarex M9A3 is a faithful reproduction of the 9mm firearm it simulates. From its blowback-action slide and faux suppressor-accepting, threaded barrel, to the three-point Picatinny rail under the front of its frame and full-sized magazine, this FDE-colored lookalike is a dead ringer for the real powder burner. It even fits holsters designed for the M9A3 firearm.
Further enhancing this C02 air pistol's realism are an authentic, ambidextrous safety, standard-function magazine release button and thin, Vertec-style, plastic grips. What's more, this model features a full-auto function for blasting through its 18-round BB magazine with one tug on the crisp, clean-pulling trigger.
No matter if you're tactically training at home, knocking down soda cans for fun or punching holes in paper targets, this .177-caliber Beretta M9A3 C02 pistol from Umarex will ensure you'll have a blast doing it.

This is my second purchase of this model, one for my collection, and one to play with. Both work great and are built well. My collection model got Hogue FDE grips, Osprey FDE silencer, and a metal FDE weapons light. Everything fit exactly as expected just like the real steel would. Auto fire rate is extremely high but limited to two mags on one CO2, but very fun non the less. Very realistic looking piece with a realistic feel. Was not a waste of money at all
Things I Would Have ChangedAccuracy decreases three fold on auto fire from roughly 3" groups up to 9" groups but was very much expected I would suppose. You don't use full auto for accuracy anyways. FPS on the Chrono goes from an average of 343 on semi to 320 average on full auto, which is also expected. You do get close to four full mags worth of shooting on semi though, which is not bad. Blowback is a full slide cycle and does produce slight recoil feel adding to the realistic feel.
What Others Should KnowI disassemble mine new and lube with white lithium grease which stays in place well smoothing the action and lasting solidly for 1000rds. It prevents any jams or accidental slide locks during firing. Full synthetic oil works as well also but makes it's way out the cracks creating a mess and lasting half the time. The lithium lube job works best and prevents mishaps in the action cycle and have had zero issues even on full auto. Full auto empties mags in 1.5 - 2.0 seconds for 18rds, but is loads of fun. Do not overload mags for what they are rated at. You can load a extra 1-2 rds but result in a mag jam by the follower almost every time. Stick to what they rate them for and they feed consistently. With proper lube, seal oil with each CO2, and quality ammo, these pistols shoot very well and are fun. They except all M9 accessories accurately and are a good addition to any collection.
Full size, weight is relatively close.Full auto, That's just fun .It's cheap to shoot and plinking in the backyard keeps it simple.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt's a Beretta. No change needed.
What Others Should KnowIt's fun for adults (full auto). It gives the kids a chance to practice gun safety and be comfortable when at the range.
Received by FedEx in only 2 days. What I really like is owning this excellent Beretta M9A3 replica. Weight is realistic. Comfortable to shoot. Easy to disassemble. Blowback is not the best but is reasonably solid. I love the color. Love the look. The full-auto feature is fun but the lever action going from semi to full auto is too easy and can be accidentally switched. The magazine is solid but is difficult to load BBs due to the heavy spring. I was able to get 40-42 shots per fill (about 2.5 mags) before power went too low. The pistol made spec, shooting a Max Velocity of 332 fps. Lo velocity was 316 fps on a 10 shot string with an average velocity of 324.5 fps and an SD of 4.6 fps. Variance was 21.45 fps. Accuracy was sort-of OK, shooting a little low and left at 10 feet but needs a laser sight for better performance at 20 feet. Nice weaver rail. Easy trigger pull in Single Action.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe slide action was a stiff when I received my M9A3. Before actually operating the pistol I removed the slide and coated the moving rails and other visible moving parts with a thin coat of Molly lube and then worked the slide action five or six times to lube the action which improved the slide operation greatly. Operation should improve even more with break-in. The Safety on my particular issue could not be put on Safe fully until the magazine was removed for some reason. No solid snap-in. The magazine is well made (solid build) and CO2 installation is easy. Loading BBs is NOT easy. The plastic spring follower is flush with the magazine and is VERY stiff to pull back and hold. I ended up using a 90 degree angle pick to pull the follower back and tilt it into the holding recess. The port for loading BBs, though, is very nice.
What Others Should KnowAccuracy is good but POA/POI do not coincide using iron sights. My criteria for determining BB gun accuracy out of the box is whether or not I can put five shots into a 2" circle from 10 feet away to get a feel for the grouping. I was able to do that with just the iron sights and a little compensation. At 20 feet, however, I had to install a laser to improved the accuracy. 20 feet and beyond POA and POI differ by several inches. Also, I should mention that occasionally on my pistol the slide stuck in the open position on blowback and would not release until I pulled the magazine and played with the slide to release it. This might get better as the pistol is fully broken-in. Overall, I like the pistol but this is not a competition shooter. It is a great replica and is fun to shoot and is a great addition to my M92A1 and M92FS Berettas. But for fun shooting I will be sticking with plinkiing for the M9A3.
Really looks and feels like the real fire arm
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing for now
What Others Should KnowIt is just fun to use the full auto
The thing is pretty cool, fully automatic. The way the slide opens and catches is awesome
Things I Would Have ChangedThe color of it. That and maybe extend the barrel somehow so its more accurate. Give it a longer magazine or at least an accessory and make it hold 2 c02 cartridges
What Others Should KnowIt burns through cartridges. The gun is more for fun and not accurately shooting targets
May 2022. As close to being realistic as can be. It feels like the real thing. Perfect for indoor practice at very short range. Love the color. Check out reports on YouTube.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowBe prepared to have fun.
I like the sound and the blow back feeling. It's pretty fun but I wish I had more clips.
Things I Would Have ChangedBuild it so it takes to Co2 cartridges.
What Others Should KnowWatch out for the slide, it bites.
well built. easy loading of C02 cart. blow back works well after a bit of lube.
Things I Would Have Changedopen sights not the best so I added a laser sight
What Others Should Knowneeded for your collection
Excellent recoil Very high rate of fire on auto
Things I Would Have ChangedWhen you use full auto you only get one magazine to each CO 2

Really good gun, huge fan of the Beretta, very comfy in the hand, nice desert color, firing it has a nice kick back, easy access safety and single to auto fire, have a nice weight to it. Little hard to pull the spring back to feed it BBs and replace the Co2 tank, the gun is weird for me to calibrate when aiming compare to my other hand guns I have like the Glock 17 or Snub nose revolver, and this thing has the worse possible Co2 usages I have seen for a pistol, You have to replace the Co2 after every 2 - 3 reloads, and using full auto all at once uses up 1 entire 12g Co2 tank
Things I Would Have ChangedImprove the usages of the Co2 canisters
What Others Should KnowAmazing weapon, love it, but be ready to eat a lot of Co2 canisters on regular uses
