Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto Point - Plain Edge (AUS10A), Ambidextrous

I have carried a Cold Steel in some form or fashion for 30 years. Started with the XL Tanto 50/50 serrated, then the straight edge. Thought I lost it, so I bought a new one… then found the other one (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). The ergonomics of the latest design are incredible! It can be held like a regular folding blade… or down at the end of the handle which gains about 4 inches in overall length/reach very comfortably. Presentation is everything! With the flick of a wrist the heavy blade slams open with a CRACK that can get a lot of attention. Up to you which kind… I use it almost daily. I have found the sweet spot when honing an edge. It’ll hold a razors edge and I have scars to prove it🙄.

I've had this knife for a good while now and I can tell you it's much better than it's reviews. It's like having a machete in your pocket. Everyone that's seen it asks how it folds to pocket size.

This knife is amazing! It's long enough t and tough enough to is as a machete to cut branches 2 inches and smaller easily with a few quick sword. It is tough enough to as a throwing knife. It's length is perfect to clip in your back pocket and Pat's for quick retrieval and deployment. It is my everyday carry for working in the yard and self defence. I have purchased three for myself and three four family members. I purchased the four myself only so I could have one that I abuse in the yard working, one when I go out for self defence, and one for work as a first responder. Recently lost my Spartan due my work, fell down a 300’ bore hole we just finished. Had the spartan for over 4 years, was one hell of blade and would’ve carried it for another 10+ years. Picked up the Voyager Tanto XL to replace it, one hell of a blade and it’ll definitely be a long lasting EDC blade for me. Pull it out and it turns everyone’s heads, first question is if it’s legal to carry and I said it’s no one’s business! Definitely a Knife that’ll last and be a true testament to Cold Steel’s commitment to their Quality of knives.

Got this as a panic buy in Christmas of 2020 before Lynn Thompson retired, I was worried about their product so I bought one out of necessity because I feared the new manager wouldn't have them made the same, but here I am buying another one after I lost mine at a public zoo. (Whoops!) This knife is the best I've ever used. It's been through many of my journeys in life, through the hardest times of work I did, through the camping trips I've rocked it on, this knife has served me in more ways than I could ever ask for. (This knife earned me the nickname, "The Walking Woodmill") For the three years I've had it, and the hell I put it through, it's still remains rock solid from the day it was opened. This is a man's man kind of knife, and knife guys will fawn over your EDC. I carried it all the time for personal protection and utility and will continue to do so. Be careful. Its way sharper than it looked. Sucker will bite you easy out of the box. Band aid for me.. This is a real big knife that feels perfect in my hand. It's the pointy finger in my other hand that's bleeding. I give it 5 stars

I bought this knife several years ago for bushcraft and protection when spending time in the wilderness. Not only is this knife large it is also absolutely rock solid and equally intimidating. If you are in the market for a quality folder you would be wise to check out the Voyager lineup with the many options. This knife is one that I have no intention of getting rid of.

Cold Steel has been my choice for quality knives for nearly ten years. I've carried a Voyager XL Tanto point since 2015. I use it every day in my work. The strength of the locking mechanism makes it extremely safe and the blade holds an edge like none I've ever had, plus, the ability to open with one hand makes it super useful! Somehow I managed to misplace my knife so I ordered a replacement, another Voyager XL. As often happens, the day my new blade arrived, I found the original. Now I have one for work and another for backup.

I use this knife on a daily basis and have had this one before but lost it. I've been carrying this modle for a few years now and it is my edc. The blade holds up very well it holds a very good edge. You may think it will stick out like a sore thumb. But it actually hides away a lot better than you would think it would. Over all it is an amazing knife.
