Description
Gamo’s next-generation Swarm break-barrel repeater has been making headlines since its early-2019 introduction - and for good reason.
Not only does the Gamo Swarm Fusion 10X Gen3i gas-piston air rifle incorporate the same innovative technology that made its older sibling such a great plinker, pest eliminator and small-game hunter. It also raises the break-barrel repeater bar by flipping its 10-shot rotary magazine on its side, allowing shooters to use low-profile scope mounts, or open sights (sights not included).
With the redesigned, horizontal magazine orientation, Gamo achieves a rapid-reload break-barrel design without the prominent hump that housed the magazine in the previous version. By employing a system of springs and levers, the mag flips up as the breech is open to load the next pellet, then lays back down in its lower-profile, horizontal resting place until cycled again.
Add this revolutionary new reloading system to the Swarm’s already lengthy list of features, and you’ve got an ideal, budget-friendly airgun that “shoots at velocities at the very top level of breakbarrel abilities,” Gamo contends, reporting .177-caliber muzzle velocities of up to 1300 FPS. Plus, with its Whisper Fusion sound-dampening system keeping the gun’s report to a minimum, the Gamo Swarm Fusion 10X Gen3 is also a backyard-friendly shooter.
So, go ahead: Pull the trigger on Gamo’s new Swarm Fusion 10X Gen3i break-barrel repeater and experience a whole new way to shoot, reload and repeat.

Things I Would Have ChangedYou have to run a offset rail adaptor 11mm to picatinny/weaver. Or a compact scope A cantilever scope mount A normal 12-15 inch scope will block the gun from breaking to cock. The magazine mechanism is poorly designed. Mine fell out in small black pieces on my 3rd shot. I mean this is a toy and not a Precision machine. Its certainly has a toy like fit and feel.
What Others Should KnowI spent a tremendous amount of time reading and researching on witch air rifle to buy. Buying this rifle crushed me. I had a dream for months about a gallery and plinking with family. I no longer want to plink or shoot Air Rifles at all.
Well worth it. And accurate out of the box.
Lightweight feels amazing when you shoulder. It not really hold sensitive not real pellet picky.
Things I Would Have ChangedMore magazines include in box
What Others Should KnowIf you are a serious air gunner this is for you. I am shooting quarter size groups at 60 feet and that’s pulling it straight out of the box putting the scope on it and shooting I’m sure that the breaking period is not done so I know it could change anytime but as of right now the first 10 shots was inside of a quarter, it is extremely lightweight caulking a little heavy but you get used to it. The silencer makes a good handle for caulking gun seems to be pretty forgiving, not hold sensitive from what I can tell. Not real picky on pellets.
The cost of the rifle as wall as the 10 shot magazine was the biggest reason for my purchase. I have only sighted it in at 20 yards with ammo from big box store. I’ve ordered additional ammunition and expect the accuracy to get even better! As of right now it will definitely hit a squirrel at the 20 yard distance! I’m very happy with its performance as of now!
Things I Would Have ChangedI do think that Gamo should also include a spare magazine with the gun. I also believe that there should be iron sights as well! I think iron sights are a must!
What Others Should KnowFun to plink with too!
Handles well.
Things I Would Have ChangedHard to cock. The photos in owner’s manual are not of good quality and all instructions could be clearer. Ship the gun with the scope mounted.
BEST BREAK BARREL. COCKIMG FORCE IS JUST RIGHT . QUIET ACCURATE AMD RELIABLE . SCOPE IS GOOD AND WORKS !!!! ASTONISHING QUALITY. MAGS NEVER A JAM. PELLETS ARE DISSAPEARING AT HIGH RATE . QUIET SECOND TO NONE
Things I Would Have ChangedZERO
What Others Should Knowthis is the best. the magnum is also quiet but harder to cock , but has more velocity power like 840 for the magnum to 540 fps for the fusion. Fusion is the perfect balamce for recreatiom. Magmum for serious hunting , much harder to cock. The SCOPE ACTUALLY WORKS AND IS NOT JUMK LIKE THE COMPETITION !!!! 3-9X40 AND MOINT IS GOOD NO CHEAP SOFT HARDWARE ! GAME CHAMGER
I replaced my original Crossman .22 pump pellet rifle with the Gamo. Love the light weight of the rifle along with the easy break-barrel. The 10 pellet magazine is a wonderful feature that eliminates the singular manual loading of pellet. Just takes attention to the loading of the magazine to ensure that the pellets or fully seated in the magazine. The open stock for pistol grip a nice feature.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot a big thing, but would replace the plastic trigger with an alloy trigger. Would suggest providing an option for an upgraded scope.
What Others Should KnowMake sure that you use the same pellets that you will be using when sighting in scope.
Accurate, lighter weight than other guns, good scope, easy to sight in.
Things I Would Have ChangedVery hard to cock this gun. An easier mechanism would be great if possible. I also am a fan of wood & would like to see this in a wood finish rather than plastic. Also, second stage screw cannot be turned at all so trigger pull cannot be adjusted and it is hard and long.
What Others Should KnowOverall, I like this gun a lot. I gave it a 4-star rating because of the difficulty in cocking it as well as the second stage trigger adjustment cannot be turned and the trigger pull is long & hard & cannot be changed as the instructions say but those are really the only issues. Otherwise, this is a great gun. I do not want to use lead pellets and I found that the GTO Predator 11.75 grain aluminum pellets work great in this gun. They are accurate, do not lose power and consistently shoot in a tight group. So far I have only done target shooting, sighting the gun in, I have not used it on the nuisance gritters we are constantly plagued with around here so I do not know how affective it is for that but judging from what it does to a target I don't think that will be any problem.
Loved the rifle, hated the magazine loader.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would change the magazine loader design and materials from plastic to metal.
What Others Should KnowLove the rifle, hate the magazine loader, it’s plastic. After 7 loads the ratchet loses sink with the loading holes. This causes the pellet retaining ring to notch one side of the pellet. Repeatable shots become problematic. If you try to load the magazine with soiled or perspiring hands the operation becomes very frustrating. I used 14.3 grain pellets for small game hunting.

Light weight Recoil rail seemed to be nice.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe mechanism that loads the pellet from the magazine is plastic and it needs constant attention. . It broke on my 6th shot. You will have a awful time mounting a quality scope. The loading mechanism is in the way. You must use a small scope 8 inchs ...longer.
What Others Should KnowThis is a toy. An adult toy. None the less it feels like a toy. It feels cheap. And it is. Maybe id pay $120-$130 for it. No more. The optic supplied is cheap, hard to see out of. You are asking for problems if you buy this. If you like fixing and maintaining things ...this is the air rifle for you.
Pyramid Air was fantastic...this is all GAMO not Pyramid.
