Lightweight, illuminated, solid turrets/clicks, metal lens covers, sunshade, useful zoom range, bright sharp optics, included zoom ring knob, resettable turrets, zero-able turrets, side AO (focus), illumination is both bright and dim (useful range of settings), excellent reticle
Things I would have changed:Ocular focus not lockable, side focus a bit stiff, illuminated reticle is red only (would prefer two choices), resetting turrets requires loosening 3 small grub screws (would prefer to do it with just one).
What others should know:Hi quality scope! Bright, sharp, clear optics with a very nice reticle true at 20x. Reticle is neither too thin nor too thick, excellent for bench and useful for the field. Multiple intensity levels when using illumination make it useable in low light or during bright sunshine. Love the smooth zoom with the included knob. Scope is fairly compact for a high power scope and light weight. Hits all the marks. Mounted on top of my Walther LGU, Hawkes are springer rated which is a bonus.

I got this scope primarily because of it's size and weight for a new FX Impact MK2 that should be delivered soon. My only experience with Hawke was that I had ordered 4-20x50 30mm FFP for the same gun. I mounted it on my present Impact and immediately did not like the reticle, the FFP just made it too big and busy for me, so I returned it. I decided to try the 4-20x44 single focal plane model and I am glad I did not give up on Hawke. The reticle is perfect, very clear and does not obstruct the aiming point, the click adjustments are positive and it snaps into focus nicely. I checked it this AM in low light and it was clear and bright. My main Impact has a Nightforce SHV 5-20x56 on it and I am in no way saying this is equal. But once the new gun is dialed in and the barrel indexed I’ll bet this little Hawke give the other gun a run for the money. This one I will keep!

One of the clearest glass for this price range.The reticle is just perfect not too thin not too crowd.Like the clamp on flipped up scope covers a lot they are silent and very easy to operate.The turrets functionality are up to expectation.
Things I would have changed:At this price it would be proper to include a side parallax wheel.
