If you have a car, you have a fill source, as the Nomad can also operate from a 12V car battery—a real lifesaver for PCP gunners filling up at the range or in the field. No matter where your airgunning takes you, the Nomad II will keep you aired up and ready to shoot.
If that wasn't enough, the Nomad II has built in LED lighting on the bottom of the unit, so even when light is fading, your air supply never will. And with the addition of the built in power supply and the included travel bag, the Nomad II is easily the most portable air compressor on the market.
Whether filling a PCP airgun from empty or just topping off, the Nomad II fills quickly and efficiently. When tested, our Nomad II was able to fill a 250cc cylinder from 0 psi to 3000 psi in as little as 9 minutes. The adjustable, automatic shut-off allows you to set the compressor to the exact fill pressure of your gun (up to 4500 psi) and the unit stops when that pressure is reached.

I haven't had it very long, but today I used the Nomad 2 to top off my FX ROYALE .22 air rifle and it did a great job. I got a refurbished one and am happy with it. It's easy to use, just attach it to your gun, plug it in, hear the fan kick in and turn the compressor on. I had the bleed valve open at start up and closed it later. It is not meant to air up a scuba tank, I have the BIG Air Venturi 4500 psi HPA for that, Even though it has a "turnoff" vavle, I didn't use it - Inexplicably I enjoyed watching the needle rise as my rife build pressure. I did add a couple drops of oil to the Namad before I started it.
Things I Would Have ChangedRight now, there's nothing I can think of
Compact and portable. The one I received looked new. Not a scratch on it and in original packaging. Worked perfect right out of the box. These are well made units and have the moisture relief port on the bottom. I took a chance on a refurb unit and I am glad I did. Saved some$.
Things I Would Have ChangedNot a thing. They do what they are designed to do.
What Others Should KnowA friend of mine uses one also and has had no problems with his unit so far. Just maintain according to the manual and it should last.

It worked at first. And seemed like a solid unit.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it a quality build, not just hide it in a fancy box with under lighting. I'm filling my air rifle, not going to a disco. I don't care if it's ugly, make it work and last! Thats far more important.
What Others Should KnowGot about 15 top offs from 150 to 250 bar and then it suddenly stopped building pressure. Gets to about 800psi and just holds there. It won't build anymore pressure. And since it's past it's warranty. Its as good as a $700 paper weight. I've taken it apart and given it a full look over, short of doing a full break down. Pretty disappointing considering it's barely a year old with 15-20 fills to it, and now it's not doing anything. I'll be looking for something else now. And this has turned me off from anything AV from now on.
