Description
Almost identical to its real steel counterpart this full-metal 1911, this Swiss Arms SA 1911 has the heft and feel of one the most iconic American handguns. Load up a single 12g CO2 cartridge and send its 18rds downrange at speeds up to 320 fps. A checkered grip ensures a steady hold for you to perfect your aim while looking down the fixed sights. Best of all, the realistic blowback locks the slide back when out of ammo! Pick up another clip to stay in the action!

9 of 9 Swiss Arms SA 1911 SSP Reviews
Great replica of the 1911 gun very realistic and fun to shoot 68 shots per tank of co2.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowExtra magazine for more fun.
Good weight. Well balanced. Nice blowback. Full drop out magazine is easy to load
Things I Would Have ChangedThe color. I would make this gun slightly darker.
What Others Should KnowIf you prefer a rail go with the other Swiss Arms 1911 but you will love this version
This thing is amazing I've handled plenty of bb guns. This thing is probably built better than the real 1911. Crispy lock back every function works excellent. The blow back is hard! Really nice compared to my p226 that gun weighs about half a pound more and this 1911 blow back has way more of a kick. Would buy this again. I'm looking to buying the other two variants or any other bb gun from Smith and Wesson cyber gun. This thing is made to last
Things I Would Have ChangedFull magazine instead of having the side cut hole for the co2. Other than that this gun is still a 10/10 on my book
What Others Should KnowBuy it you won't regret it
This is a really nice pistol. The fit and finish are suburb and the plastic grips look and feel like wood to me. I really like the strong blow back of this pistol and it comes apart quickly. Feels and looks like the real deal. Trigger is decent and the accuracy in my basement shooting range was excellent for a bb gun. I've only shot it with the smart shot BB's and it out shoots my older abillty's. A nicely done pistol.
Things I Would Have ChangedA catch on the magazine to hold the follower down for the loading of the BB's
What Others Should KnowNot really. You can't go wrong for the price.
I was impressed taking this Swiss Arms (SA) 1911 SSP replica BB pistol out of the box. It seemed to be half the weight of my Springfield Range Officer which surprised me, having only fired BB gun rifles back in the 1980s. The slide was glass-smooth with a very small amount of play. The SA 1911 field stripped in a similar fashion the a real 1911. The clip with the BBs and CO2 cartridge was easy to insert and seated well. Having the clip go in well was important. My experience with both the Swiss Arms SSP and the TRS was that of jamming on nearly every shot, requiring a spare clip loaded with CO2 to un-jam the barrel.
Things I Would Have ChangedI would have Swiss Arms produce a 1911 replica that does not jam on nearly every shot.
What Others Should KnowI found several strategies that led to successful firing of this pistol: 1) if you fire in a downward direction, the jamming was less frequent; 2) fire this pistol only at aluminum cans so you can confirm that the BB left the barrel; 3) if the BB jams in the barrel, un-jamming procedure is simple using a spare clip loaded with CO2 but no BBs, and firing once, leaving the slide locked confirming un-jamming was successful; 4) it is important to not attempt firing if you suspect a jam because the gas tube will jam with additional BBs; 5) lubricating a new BB pistol does not help, because it did not help the SSP or TRS; and 6) both Copperhead BBs and Swiss Arms BBs jammed with equal frequency, be careful.
Which is full metal and very strong.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing, this perfect, maybe the grips to a darker color.
What Others Should KnowI have no comments
My first Swiss Arms 1911 , just like the Colt Commander and Tanfoglio Witness this is a beautiful gun. Shoots fairly accurate at 15yards and has a nice recoil . Love the finish and very little writing on the slide. Comes with a mock silencer adapter as the barrel is threaded.
Things I Would Have ChangedGrips are plastic , i replaced them with a wraparound rubber grip which not only looks better , it also feels better. Never liked brown grips on any of my 1911s.
What Others Should KnowIn my opinion this is a solid metal handgun replica. I recommend greasing the slide with a silicone gun grease and use some pellgun oil on every CO2. I use Daisy Co2s they have rounded bottoms for better seating in the magazine and only Daisy BBs will all my airguns, Crosman makes the worst CO2s. I doubt anyone will be disappointed with this airgun.
I have to first say, 5 STARS IS NOT ENOUGH! From construction, to appearance, to ergonomics, to performance, this is an exceptional pistol. I own dozens of air pistols, 14 of which are 1911 replicas, some are less expensive, some are more expensive, but none are equal to this one. Why am I gushing? I just shot this pistol with eleven different BB offerings and only one shot a full magazine into more than 2 inches from 6 yards muzzle to target standing off-hand. What is impressive about this is that I know I pulled the shots that went out of the mass of the groups. Each group had 75% of the BB's into no more than an inch and a quarter and the best BB performers put at least 9 shots into less than 3/4". There is more....every group was in the center of the bulls-eye with windage and elevation dead on with the point of aim.*
Things I Would Have ChangedI will have to say here what I would not change that some others may disagree with. I would not change the grip panels to wood because the faux wood panels that come with the gun are so close in appearance to actual Rosewood. So close in fact that I would not spend the money to get real rosewood as I have on a few of my other replicas. Some also are likely to complain of the velocity being only 310 fps. I chronographed my pistol and it reached that velocity several times but averaged around 305 fps. Hey, we are not shooting rats with these guns and even if they delivered 500 fps they would not be suitable for such. So accept the velocity and rejoice in the accuracy and handling.
What Others Should Know* I did adjust the windage very slightly by filing the notch slightly wider to the left side as the initial groups were slightly right and the rear notch was tight in the sight picture of the front sight with no visible opening to either side. I prefer to have some slight light to both sides to make alignment more consistent.
I tested my pistols accuracy standing, shooting off-hand in a two-handed hold. This pistol fits my medium large hands so naturally that the sights are easily aligned and it is steady in my hold allowing me to get the shot off without fighting to keep the front sight right under the 1/2" 10 ring of the bull. My trigger finger naturally falls with the 1st joint near the trigger face. I settled on using the rearmost pad of my finger to make the pull as I found it to fit naturally and did not affect the aim. I am impressed with how many consecutive shots I landed in the center of the bulls-eye during my shoot. Consistency must have an accurate gun and shooter.
