An icon in its own right, the Colt 1911 was carried by American servicemen from 1911 to 1986. Recognizing the appeal of this historic weapon, Air Venturi, has faithfully adapted the 1911 for use with .177 caliber ammo. This one-of-a-kind collector's item features John Wayne's signature emblazoned across its sturdy metal slide, which blows back when fired. Once loaded up, this 1911 is capable of sending 18 BBs downrange at speeds up to 320fps. This 1911 kit includes 100 BB's so you can get right into the action.

Everything! I carried one during LE boardings during the early to mid '80's before we went to Barettas. Trained on the 1911 in basic and again in Maritime LE School. So, this was a treat to myself to have as a sentimental display piece. I purchased the old WWII leather holster with "US" on the flap to complete the historic value.
Things I would have changed:For a display. Nothing. So far it works well, is well built and tight (unlike some other reviews), so I must have gotten a good one.
What others should know:If you a military firearms enthusiast and/or have used one during your service, this is an excellent pistol to add to any collection. It's also fun to shoot!

Things I would have changed:Nothing really, a good standard GI issue look, I don’t need the John Wayne signature, but eh, it’s kinda cool.
What others should know:The bb follower for the magazine can kind of lock and then just needs careful pull back a bit more with your thumbnail to slide in bbs. Will try posting pics
