Description
The BugBuster Scope from UTG is well known for providing crystal clear optics in a compact package. This newest BugBuster follows this tradition with a scope that offers 3-12x magnification in an 8” body. This feature alone keeps the weight down and makes the BugBuster a great choice for shooters with shorter optics rails.
Featuring premium resettable turrets with precise 1/3 MOA click adjustment zero locking and resettable windage and elevation adjustment turrets, the 3-12x Bug Buster doesn’t use its small size to compromise on precision.
The first Bug Buster with side parallax adjustment resolves images as close as 3 yards away. And the Mil-Dot reticle gives you plenty of hold points to take quick hold over/under shots with the utmost accuracy. Built on Leapers tried and true True Strength platform, this Bug Buster can take the brutal recoil from the biggest magnum piston rifles.
Each 3-12x32 Bug Buster includes a 2" sunshade, lens caps, cleaning cloth, and medium 11mm Dovetail scope rings

10 of 18 UTG BugBuster 3-12X32 Scope, Mil-dot Reviews
Great little scope, clear, holds zero, good eye relief. Would also be an awesome scope for a rim fire rifle. Came with a sunshade which is handy
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing, it is perfect for it's intended use
What Others Should KnowEasy to mount, easy to sight in. Installed on a Beeman R9, a great combination.
Great scope. Nice reticle, clear lens. Does everything its supposed to do. I would recommend. Mounted on a Seneca Dragonfly 2.
its not the greatest but for the money it works ok, ill probably get a better one down the road but for someone on a tight budget it will work fine
Things I Would Have Changedbetter cross hairs, better turets
What Others Should Knowjust what ive already said
Good magnification, light, accurate.
Things I Would Have ChangedMounting rings not the best. 32mm provides smallish sight picture.
What Others Should KnowBetter than 3x9x32 model, except for the rings.
On the right rifle, in this case a Weihrauch HW30, it's the perfect size. My eyes don't do as well with open and peep sights anymore, so the 3-12X32 meets my needs. It doesn't make the gun more accurate...I still have to do my part with breath control, trigger control, "artillery hold", and such, but I can be as accurate as I used to be again.
Things I Would Have ChangedI can't think of anything other than all the UTG scopes come with Picatinny mounts and nothing that I own uses that mounting system. I've got a whole pile of brand new Picatinny mounts piled up. Supplying them with 11 mm / 3/8" medium height scope mounts (i.e. BKL's) would be a lot more useful.
What Others Should KnowIf it doesn't shoot well, make sure it's mounted correctly and you've not got the elevation adjustment cranked all the way down. With the scope optically centered I work on my mounting until it's almost on target and then just fine tune with the turret adjustments.
Have several of these. Good so far. The 3x12 has finer crosshairs than the 3x9, which I like a lot better. No lighting on the crosshairs, which is sort of nice, sometimes. Good small size. Light weight.
Things I Would Have ChangedI think these bugbusters still have wire crosshairs, so I would like to see etched glass which I assume is more rugged, and would be able to have more types of patterns. I kind of like the lighting too, getting kind of junky here.
What Others Should KnowDo to small size, mounting could be a problem. Check to see if it'll fit your situation. I have a 3x9 bugbuster on a Diana 56TH, supposedly the hardest airgun on scopes, and it's held up for several 1000 shots so far. Generally I like these scopes a lot, especially the ability to focus at 3 yards for indoor shooting, and the low price of course.
Does work good as long as it's not mounted to the Gamo swarm air rifle but hope a with gamo extra high rings I had to order will raise the scope so the 10 shot mag not in the way when I use the scope. The rings that come with the scope to short.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rings to mount it to the air rifle to short for a Gamo swarm repeating air rifle were the mag blocks your view and makes the scope useless. If you buy this for a Gamo Swarm air rifle buy a extra high mounting rings
What Others Should KnowBuy extra high mounting rings if it's for a Gamo 10 shot repeating air rifle the ring are to short that come with the scope so the 10 shot mag block your view out of the scope.
Variable Parallax setting Clear, bright optics Sensitive elevation and windage control 12x zoom Solid construction and good build quality
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowI put this on a Gamo Maxxim Swarm air rifle. I had to mount it as far back as it could go on the rails but while it is entirely usable, I would have liked to be able to move it about an inch further back. It is a very nice scope with a clear, bright image even in low light- surprisingly so given it only has a 32mm objective. It is at least as bright as the piece of junk 40mm scope that came with the Maxxim. This is entirely due to optical efficiency (better glass and coatings so less light loss).
The rather large rat that had been decimating my garden discovered the accuracy and repeatability of this scope the hard way. Once it is sighted in this combination can stack .177 pellets at 45 feet.
It was a bit more scope than might be justified for a Gamo Maxxim but the combination is deadly accurate and a joy to shoot.
Great little scope. See my review of the Weihrauch HW 50S for more detail.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowA great option for shorter rifles like the HW 50S.

Compact, doesn't add too much weight to the pistol to make it unmanageable. 3 yard parallax so mounting it on plinkers is great. Great glass, clear picture. Side focus with an 80mm wheel added to it makes it very easy to range targets. Markings on the range are very close to actual distance. + or- a foot or so. Comes with a 2 inch light shield to keep unwanted glare on the objective lens. Positive locking turrets make adjustments easy. Great price.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing comes to mind. Honestly a great optic.
What Others Should KnowGreat scope. All of my scopeable airguns have a UTG on them. Hands down the best for the money in my opinion. I thought I had a "bad one" a few years ago, so I ordered another, with the full intent to send it back. Turned out that the break barrel locking pin was bent allowing the barrel to move and my shots were peppering the paper. I had to buy another airgun to mount the new scope to. LOL.
