Air Arms S510 Xtra FAC sidelever air rifle
Our specs show that this rifle has a 19.45" barrel. The shroud is much longer, and the exterior length from the action to the muzzle measures 24". The barrel is only the rifled portion of the gun.
If you value accuracy but don't want to sacrifice beauty, you're in luck. The Air Arms S510 Xtra FAC air rifle is a remarkably accurate airgun, and it gives away nothing in the looks department! While single-shot air rifles tend to be more accurate than repeaters, the Air Arms rifles have proven that's not true if you follow high-quality manufacturing practices.
Made in England, Air Arms has been making exquisite air rifles for several decades. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant consistently produces superior air guns that are the gold standard for sporting air rifles worldwide. Bluing, triggers, stocks, mechanical function and more are the envy of airgun manufacturers worldwide. If you want the best sporting air rifle made today, Air Arms is your ticket to shooting satisfaction...and the S510 is an heirloom you can pass down to your grandkids.

Things I liked: Just about everything. What a terrific rifle. Accurate beyond belief. Beautifully fit and finished. Functions so smoothly. Did I mention accurate?? It is also very consistent for velocity for a non regulated gun. The trigger is also a thing of joy. It is a very high quality rifle all the way around.
Things I would have changed: Just a few minor things. For the price it should come with two mags, and the barrel and the air chamber should match as far as finish. A set of factory installed sling swivel studs would also be nice. This last one is purely a matter of my own personal taste, but I would like to see a less pronounced edge on the cheeckpiece which would help reduce the chance of an accidental chip or gouge.
What others should know: Filled to the top at 200 bar, I get about 12-15 shots in before it reaches the sweet spot, and from there I am getting just about 4 mags, or 40 shots of consistent velocity before it starts dropping off slowly. A lot of guys seem to like the 18.19 JSB's, but mine definitely favors the 15.59 version over everything else, though most every pellet in my inventory (which is a pretty decent variety) shoots very well, and I shoot them all at max power as I bought it to hunt with it more than target shoot. This gun is pretty expensive for a majority of guys to buy, but trust me, if you can find a way to pay for it, you will not regret it. You definitely get what you pay for.
Things I liked: Ive owned this gun for almost 4 years already and its still as accurate as the day I bought it. I havent had a single issue with it yet so that really tells you a lot about the quality. Hunter everything with it from sparrow to large raccoons and it has taken all of them down with authority. Check me out at AirgunnerCA on YouTube to see how this gun has performed for me. Very very accurate, not really pellet fuzzy, power adjuster, and love mine in .22 walnut, a very beautiful as well durable stock. Make sure you invest in a nice scope it really deserves it. Thanks Pyramyd Air for providing me with an excellent gun!
Things I would have changed: Speaking with years of experience with it only a few things. Should have included sling studs, can get heavy in the field after awhile so its almost necessary. I mount some myself but others may get nervous if its their first time, its still very easy so dont worry. The dovetail is too short meaning you cant really mount the scope either more to the front or back just a few inches to play with. And lastly but not least the power adjuster, shouldve been clicks but its just a free floating knob. Tip: to secure the power knob to your liking remove the stock and theres a small screw underneath the knob that you tighten to secure it with a very small Allen key, dont tighten too much just enough where you cant physically turn the knob anymore.
What others should know: Lack of a regulator. Back when I bought it only a handful of guns had regulators so it wasnt much of a necessity. But now almost all have them within this price range. If thats what you absolutely need then this gun isnt for you. Still I get almost 30 shots at high power, which I rarely use. And I could still live without one, very accurate and very consistent without it. Play with the power adjuster and youll find your sweet spot. Mines between 170-135 bar but yours might vary.
Things I liked: I too have an S510 and anybody that writes a bad review is exaggerating things,I owned many rifles and to this day never seen anything like this beauty, can't missed a shot with it at less than 100 yards, sometimes it feels like if I'm cheating when shooting a dove or pigeon.Love AA.hopefuly they bring an even better one in the near future,I want to have another one. From Puerto Rico with love!
Things I would have changed: Nothing
What others should know: If you have shot an S510 you haven't shot a real rifle!

How many shots per fill on the .177? Also, there seems to be a difference in opinions. Does the S510 Xtra FAC Sidelever PCP Air Rifle come with one or two mags.
That depends on the power setting and what you deem to be a "good shot." I would say 30 good, consistent shots on high power. One mag.
Can you update the specs on this rifle and the others in the S510 class. Whats in the catalog does not jive with whats on the web. Is the regulator like the Huma type.
Not sure what you mean? This particular rifle is not regulated. The S510 XS, is the regulated version. Air Arms S510 XS Ultimate...
Nothing in the specs about the air pump adapter. Does this thread on or accept the Air Venturi MK4 female quick disconnect fitting?
The fill adapter that comes with the gun is threaded to 1/8" BSPP. So you can either remove the QD fitting from your hose and thread the fill adapter in, or purchase a Air Venturi Male Quick-Disconnect, 1/8"... and it will then have a male qd to attach to the hose.
To fill your PCP gun:
1.Pick a source of air shown at right
2.If an adapter is needed, one will be shown
3.Add both to your cart to get hooked up
