Diana Chaser CO2 Air Rifle Kit
The Diana Chaser Rifle Kit is a pistol and rifle in one! This lightweight CO2 airgun was designed for hours of fun outdoor target shooting or as an ideal indoor plinker. Fueled by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge, the Chaser is a finely balanced modular platform that lets you choose whether a pistol or rifle is a better fit for your trigger time.
Available in .177 or .22 Diana had shooters of all ages in mind with the airgun's feather-light weight of 3.1lbs. But do not let its slight build fool you! The Chaser is a capable plinker and target puncher that can send its rounds downrange at speeds up to 642 fps in .177 and 500 fps in .22 caliber. To get started shooting, first decide if you want to use the Chaser pistol or transform it into a modular air rifle. To turn the pistol into a rifle, loosen the three set screws that secure the barrel and pull the barrel from the breech. Insert the moderated 17.7” rifle barrel into the breech and tighten the set screws. Remove the pistol grip cap by unthreading the securing screw on the underside of the grip and sliding the cap off of the grip. Then insert the butt stock into the holes on the grip and replace the securing screw. Once those parts are in place, you’re ready to load up and sling lead. As a bonus, the elongated barrel has the added benefit of increasing pellet speed by 35-40 fps over that of the pistol.
To get started, load a single CO2 cartridge, cock the smooth bolt-action, load your pellet, and pull the trigger. While the Chaser only needs a single CO2 cartridge, a compartment on the bottom of the grip opens up a storage area to hold a second CO2 cartridge to keep more air power on deck. Each includes a front blade sight with an adjustable rear sight and an 11mm Dovetail to zero in on targets with a scope.
Diana includes a single shot tray for precision shooting, but the Chaser can accept magazines used by its big brother the Stormrider. With the addition of indexing magazines, transform your single-shot Chaser into a multi-shot repeater pistol! These indexing mags hold 9 shots in .177 and 7 in .22 and cut down your reload times significantly. The magazines are sold separately but are readily available here at Pyramyd Air.
If you want a lightweight pistol/rifle combination built for dropping cans and peppering paper targets, choose the Chaser Rifle Set and see what your shooting sessions have been missing.

Things I liked: Extremely light weight and allows using it as a pistol, a carbine or a rifle. I ordered the .22 version and it arrived damaged. The shipping box did not have packing peanuts to protect the Chaser box and had a noticeable dent. This caused the rifle barrel to protrude through the inner box. It appeared at first that the breech was bent, but on closer inspection, I saw that the breech O-ring was severely crushed and damaged. PA arranged to send replacement O-rings. After charging the pistol and firing about 25 pellets, I cleaned it and found the rear hammer spring cap was not capable of being removed. It is plastic and seems like they pressed/swaged it in. PA sent me a replacement that tech removed the cap from and left in the box with the replacement pistol. It took about 30 minutes of careful sanding to get the cap to be easily removed. PA has excellent support and I can highly recommend them.
Things I would have changed: In order to get a replacement quickly, I had to purchase the replacement and get credit after the first Chaser was returned. The comprtition sent me a replacement Bandit within 2 days of notification of an air leak WITHOUT requiring me to prepay.
What others should know: The replacement pistol came without the breech O-ring! Good thing I retained the barrel from the first on that I spent about an hour smoothing the barrel intake port and breech. Get the 10 for $10. I ordered this from my wish list and was not given the 10 for $10 option. I would have had to purchase another Chaser kit because they said it had already been loaded on the FedEx truck. I ordered it at 10:00 pm PST and by 8:00 am it had been processed and shipped. The free FedEx ground took 7 days to get here, so if you want one quickly, ask about faster shipping options. Other SPA manufactured pistols may be similar and cheaper, but PA support is worth it!
Things I liked: Nice looking and finished well. Accuracy is good. Sights are basic but fully adjustable and easy to see. Weight is nice light but heavy enough to maintain a good aiming posture.
Things I would have changed: Hone the chamber better. I know a tight chamber is better for accuracy but not to the point where it breaks the gun while trying to chamber the round.
What others should know: The gun is pretty good but putting a pellet into the chamber is difficult at best especially with a wad cutter pellet which is almost impossible with my pistol, I see why the one fellow broke the bolt handle off of his gun. I learned to push on the end of the bolt which takes the strain off of the handle. Round nose pellets will work but it's still tough to chamber them. I honed mine which solve the problem.

Tyler, I need your help. I need to change the breech on my Chaser carbines. I have one all the way down and all I need to do is to remove the bolt handle. Surprise! I can't get the bolt handle to unscrew! I have 4 of these so I decided to take a look at the others, thinking that this one was maybe forcefully tightened. Nope! I can't unscrew the handle on any of them. Did someone Loctite these handles on like the suppressor on the long barrel? I need a response please. And if they are Loctite on, where can I get new bolts and handles for my breeches? Please respond. Thank you.
What's a good cheap mount and scope for the .177 rifle configuration where I can still load easily?
I would use a bug buster scope with medium to high profile dovetail rings.
can you kill a squirrel with the .22 version
should be able to however the chaser does shoot a little slower than most .22.
