Lay down a shower of lead with the Diana Stormrider!
Since 1892, Diana has produced high-quality airguns that are as reliable as they are accurate. While the Stormrider may not be their first PCP, it’s certainly the most budget-friendly. With a straightforward, no-frills design, the Stormrider’s combination of repeating shots and great features make it a serious contender for one of the best entry-level PCPs.
The first thing you’ll notice is the quality of the German beech stock. It’s sturdy and contoured with checkering on the grip and forend. With a thickness of 1.5 inches wide and a total weight of 5lbs, the Stormrider is easy to handle for shooters young and old.
Hands down, the best feature of this Diana is its repeating shots. Simply load up the rotary magazine and slide it into the breech which secures it into place magnetically. With 9 shots in .177 and 7 in .22, cycle to a new round with a quick flick of the bolt action. Once you charge up the 200 BAR (2900 psi) cylinder, you can send rounds downrange at 1,050 fps (.177) and 900 fps (.22). Additionally, if you want to shoot one shot at a time, a single-shot tray is included. It also includes open sights with a fully adjustable rear sight and an 11mm dovetail for mounting your own optics.
If you’ve wanted your own PCP airgun but the price has held you back, the Stormrider gives you a budget-friendly PCP design that lives up to the Diana name.
Tech Tip: For Gen 1. models, the front and rear sights are removable. It may be necessary to remove the rear sight when mounting an optic longer than 10". On Gen. 2 models, the rear sight is still removable.
Please note: Gen. 2 Stormrider packages incorrectly list the overall length as 38.5" while the correct overall length is 40.5" for this version due to the longer moderator. The correct overall length for the Gen. 1 Stormrider is 38.5".

Please note: The Gen1 Stormrider has a shorter muzzle brake than the Gen2. The Gen1 is rated for a sound level of 3/5. The Gen2 is rated as a 2/5.

Light weight. Pretty accurate. Make sure you get the 20 for 20 test the scope mount and zero. Sometimes the moderator on these are defective and your pellets hit them. So get the 20 for 20 because these professionals will be able to tell if there is something off.
Things I would have changed:Nothing for this price point.
What others should know:If you are buying anything that needs days to get shipped why wouldn’t you do a 24 hour tank test a 20 for 20 shots? Be simply foolish not to get it. Great product btw.

OCT. 11, 2022: My wife's Stormrider Gen1 will not take any air. She has not shot it since May but did not put it away with totally empty air tank. I have now been told that we should add air pressure periodically...who knew. But why will it not take ANY air from pump? Needle remains pegged at ) on rifle gauge. Help?
To anyone that bought a Refurb model. Is buying a new one worth the extra $40 or should i buy a refurbed one?
The refurbed one has already been broke in! The parts that might have failed have probably been replaced to a "like new" condition. I have bought several "Refurbed" air guns from PA, they are well worth the savings!!
To fill your PCP gun:
1.Pick a source of air shown at right
2.If an adapter is needed, one will be shown
3.Add both to your cart to get hooked up

My .177 cal. Stormrider was delivered neatly packaged. My first impressions on unpacking the Stormrider was the sleek gracefull look of the rifle. The small air resovior allows it to be designed to avoid the bulky look most PCP guns have. The Stormrider was light and agile and was very comfortable when I shouldered it, and the stock was finished with a nice satin gloss. I charged it up to 200 Bar and shot some pellets, it was quiet and seemed to be fairly accurate. As old eyes and iron sights don't work well together my next step was to mount a UTG 4-16 X 44 compact tactical scope on it. After sighting in the scope, I was impressed with the accuracy I was getting so I compared five shot groups from the Stormrider to five shot groups from my Air Force Talon and my Benjamon Maurader using 8.44 gr. JSB exact and 7.9 gr. Crosman Premier pellets in all three rifles. I got five shot groups that you can cover with a dime from all three guns.
Things I would have changed:For the price, nothing.
What others should know:For hunting I would advise getting the rifle in .22 cal, adding a front barrel band and a cover to keep the fill port clean.
