Description
If you believe that only accurate guns are interesting, then the Air Arms S510 XS Carbine FAC Regulated PCP must be one of the most interesting guns on the planet. Like all the models in the S510 line, this air rifle offers supreme accuracy due to its precision-rifled Lothar Walther barrel and light-break two-stage adjustable match-grade trigger. It's also a carbine version, so it's lighter and shorter than the full-size model but has almost as much power and doesn't surrender accuracy. This becomes noticeable when you carry it around on a long day out in the field. The smaller and lighter rifle handles better in dense woods and around obstacles, making it ideal for small-game hunting.
This rifle features a rich Monte Carlo poplar ambidextrous stock with beautiful styling. Air Arms has a reputation for making showpiece airguns, and the S510 XS in poplar is no exception. Air Arms also added a regulator to go with the 5-position power adjuster, giving additional shots and a more consistent shot string. The shrouded barrel means it's quieter than some comparable air rifles, and the 10-shot magazine allows for quick follow-up shots.
The Air Arms S510 XS Carbine FAC Regulated PCP sidelever is a great rifle for hunting small game, plinking, or target shooting, and it's a pleasure to shoot. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty, meaning you can pass this gun down to your grandchildren. If you're ready for reliability and the highest quality, you're ready for this Air Arms air rifle.

6 of 6 Air Arms S510 XS Carbine FAC Regulated PCP, Poplar Reviews
Everything! This is as nice if not nicer than my $1500.00 Weihrauch. Stock is the nicest I've ever seen, clip is great, side cocking lever is as smooth as butter, trigger is great, smooth and light. I will have 2-3 of these once in stock!
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing! If you think there is something to change your just being picky.
What Others Should KnowI shoot 1000-2000 rds a week, I have several guns at higher cost that don't even compare. Every time I open the safe I pick up this rifle. Buy a spare magazine and this gun loves JSB pellets so grab a few cans. Air Arms doesn't send 2 magazines, just 1 and that is to keep the price down on the rifle.
I have to admit I love this gun, ease of loading pellet, fit and finish, and side lever action. At the moment it likes AA 16 gram and JSB 18 gram pellets but that could change when I add a regulator and detune.
Things I Would Have ChangedBetter quality control from AA. The hammer spring is very stiff and has a lot of preload on it. A softer shorter spring would extend shot count with minor impact of velocity, just my opinion and I am by no means an expert.
What Others Should Know1st I bought a refurb (most likely I got csmgunner's). 160 fps spread over 20 shots, with 60 fps spikes, worked with PA and found that the hammer was sticking on the hammer slide, fixed. POI changed every 5 shots. Took shroud off and found 3 baffles missing and the barrel/shroud support was also missing, parts ordered. I have started to detune the gun and make preps for adding a regulator. This is a 15 shot gun by AA tech info, I should be able to get 30-35 shots out of it regulated down to 875-850 fps with 16 gram pellets. Despite the hardships I wasn't going to return the gun because I was going to regulate from the start. Learned a lot from this gun already and I'm sure I'll learn a lot more. When I'm gone this should shot on par with my buddies Daystate for a whole lot less. Once the barrel get stabilized I should see close to 1/2 groups at 50 yards from sand bags.
Complete fit and finish of this gun was truely a work of art. Well balanced, smooth and powerful.
Things I Would Have ChangedAccuracy wasn't as consistent as I had hoped .
What Others Should KnowMaybe my shooting style just isn't a match for this rifle. This was my first pcp and despite its beauty I was very disappointed with its accuracy, I was expecting something a lot more consistent. POI changed almost every 5-7 shots. Like I previously stated this was my first pcp so maybe this is to be expected. All I can say is at 40-50yrds I'm shooting dime size with my rws48 and slightly less than that with my hw97 on a fairly consistent basis. I did not have those results with the AA510. Just not the gun for me, I'll stick to my hassle free springers.
Beautiful finish, metal and wood..!!, Veeeeeeeery light..!, The variable power knob is a great feature..!, great value, maybe the best 4 your $$..!
Things I Would Have ChangedShould have gotten the normal reservoir 242cc. for more shot count.
What Others Should KnowAA guns are really top quality, great value in high end gun class, the beech stock is very soft, easy to dent, but very nice looking..! Get it, you'll never regret it..!!
The stock shape is fantastic. One of the most comfortable guns I own. The accuracy great. The weight and pointability (not really a word) is perfect for the field. Fit and finish are as good as it gets.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe mags can be sticky to load. Some pellets(jsb 16's) load great and some need a push in. The o ring that holds them does it without mangling the skirts and with the receiver indexing, there is no spring tension to harm the pellets either.
What Others Should KnowKind of loud. I also have a Mrod so I am spoiled. I get 20 good shots on high power for about 27fpe at 200bar. This is a carbine so I am not complaining about that. If you need a compact rifle this is the one you want. I sprung for the walnut and it's fantastic. I can't say enough good about this rifle. Thanks PA and AA!

This gun is like laser, you won't believe your eyes after shooting it. Quality overall is perfect. Balance is perfect, and you won't regret buying this rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedMaybe I would change the security feature, right now I don't really feel it has any safety.
What Others Should KnowThe weight is light, and the number of shots per fill is about 50-60? I use the lowest power setting for target practice. Trigger is perfect from factory settings.
