The ability to load shot of choice is nice.
Things I would have changed:The price seems a bit steep for what it is. I was disappointed to see "Made in USA" right above "Casings made in China." Air Venturi: Please bring the price down and allow for bulk purchasing. 100, 500 etc.
What others should know:I'm experimenting with some seriously less expensive options. If successful, I'll post my results online.

I like the ability to experiment with different shot sizes. Nine Gamo, .22 caliber, lead balls makes a mini buck shot that shows a lot of promise. I can't wait to try some duplex loads as well.
Things I would have changed:The price is a bit steep and several shells came out of the box with cracks in them. I would lower tbe price and make more protective packaging.
What others should know:Save your money and get some. They're fun.

Where can one aquire steel shot for these? I've heard lead can fragment inside of an animal's carcass.
Steel shot is not recommended for Wing shot shotgun
Can you use steel BBs in these empty shells .177 caliber BB's
What shot size can I fire out of the shells. Would #9 or buckshot work?
Yes.

Using the empty shells I can put any size shot in I want. I usually use #7. But I also have loaded some up with .177 BBs for hitting Rabbits and Squirrels hard. The #7 works great on little birds (dove) and doesn't destroy the meat. I found them easy to load. I did need to be mindful of the level of the load. To full and I might crack the shell when putting on the cap. To little and the shot will shake around and possibly make the projectile not accurate. Over all I really like these caps and their performance... I don't like their price and how they are on back order all the time. The 2 boxes I received 12/08/2021 were from a Back Order from 07/30/2021. I also don't like how the boxes are not a full 50 shells. This makes my second order and 4th and 5th boxes of 50 I have ordered. The first 3 ordered in the summer came short each box. Box 1= 44 cups & 50 caps. Box2= 43 cups & 48 caps. Box 3= 42 cups & 50 Caps. Today both box 4 & 5 came with 49 cups with 52 & 44 Caps.
Things I would have changed:I would ensure the people working in Quality Assurance were awake and doing their job. These shells are expensive. When spending between 20 and 25 bucks (plus shipping if I don't buy other stuff for over $150) and NONE of the boxes I have received this year (5 in total) had a complete 50 Cups & Caps in them. That's 227 cups I am able to shoot when I paid for 250 shots. That sure leaves a fella feeling a little taken advantage of. Also, please ship the shell cartons in card board boxes. The ones I received today were in a padded envelope. The cartons were smashed but thankfully the shells (cups) were not damaged. Lastly, like another reviewer pointed out, I too am disappointed in the claim "Made in USA." which is printed in big letters over smaller letters "Casings made in China." My question is, how can this product be made in the USA if the casings (shells) are made in China? One question a person asked was "How long are these empty shells?" 1 inch in length.
What others should know:Another reviewer mentioned he is "experimenting with some seriously less expensive options." and that he would post his results online. Nothing else has been posted. I purchased a box of 50 Sabots for a Black Powder Mussel Loader in the size 50 caliber. (I have a Seneca Double Shot) These hold a nice pack of lead shot. They were about 10 bucks for a box of 50 Sabots. Then I used an old usps priority mail box I had lying around. I took my 1/2 inch leather punch & my wooden mallet. After sharpening the punch I whacked on the cardboard box and used a wooden board as a backing to protect the punch. I punched holes through the cardboard. presto--a bunch of 1/2 inch disks in very little time. Insert those in the breach and very carefully follow with a Sabot full of shot. The disk makes a cap and the Sabot is the cup. If you need to reload fast, have some of these Air Venturi shells in your vest pocket. I used that successfully in the summer for a short dove hunt. Take Care.
