The futuristic AirForce Texan has long been hailed as one of the most powerful and efficient PCPs on the market since its launch in 2015.
With a near-flawless design straight out of the gate, the Texan received a fully-moderated makeover in 2017 with the release of the TexanSS, which offered shooters the same power and style they loved while turning the shot volume way down. Now AirForce brings us the Texan Carbine, an airgun that provides the same power and performance as its bigger brother, built as a highly-maneuverable PCP gun ideal for navigating heavy undergrowth or easy movement inside your hunting blind.
The 490cc air cylinder is capable of launching rounds at speeds up to 1,060 fps in .357 and 1,130 in .30. That kind of power translates into an astounding 225 and 250 FPE, respectively. And now, with the addition of AirForce's updated TX2 valve (available exclusively in .457-cal. Texans) this gun can produce up to 400 foot-pounds of muzzle energy while sending .457-cal rounds downrange at speeds of up to 935 fps!
The Texan Carbine features adjustable power for shooting between 2-10 shots per fill, an adjustable buttpad for a secure hold, and a 2-stage trigger that adjusts down to a 2.06 lb trigger pull. Atop this streamlined system rests the 11mm Dovetail rail for mounting your own choice of optics.

Powerful, accurate, it exceeded all of my expectations.
Things I would have changed:It is pretty darn loud, I mean it is LOUD. I would like to see a silenced option.
What others should know:I guess I reaaly didnt know what to expect. This gun , 50 caliber Texan carbine is very powerful. It blew right through a 1 inch, and a 2 inch treated board. It also went straight through an empty small propane cylinder. it is very loud. I pumped it up with my old Benjamin pump, but it was a tough job. An electric pump is on the way. I will try and post a follow up review.
