The Cold Steel Kukri Plus Machete features the same wide, curved blade that makes our Kukris capable of delivering the kind of performance thats the envy of many swords or bushcraft tools, but with the addition of an integral solid steel guard for added protection and safety. Its full tang is completely encapsulated in a comfortable and durable polypropylene handle that has been ergonomically designed for comfort and safety, allowing you to keep a secure grip on the Machete even in the most inclement conditions. Featuring a rust resistant baked on matte black coating, the fully sharpened and expertly tempered 65Mn steel with black anti rust matte finish safely and securely carried in a sturdy Cor-Ex sheath.

Love this Kukri. It's very sturdy, a great machete. The sheath is very good too, allows you to easily and safely withdraw and holster this huge blade.
I got one of these as a camp/survival knife and it has accompanied me on several outings. The blade comes sharp, holds and edge well and sharpens nicely. It's a good chopper working almost as well as my hatchet on dry wood, and it is able to cut through live tree limbs at least 1" thick with ease. I have batoned wood with it and it can handle rounds 4-6" thick. The only real downside is the sheath; after six months on my pack some of the stitching is fraying, so a kydex replacement is in order. Definitely recommend.
