Not as big as I expected but still a good trainer for people who own the real ax it copies. I use mine mostly to play with my children.
This thing is radical! So cool. I had nothing like this but now I do!
The weight. The durability. The overal size and feel of this is astounding! Ive been using this axe for 2 years now and thru its ware and tare its as strong as ever. There hasn't been a day that i havent been handling it while relaxing at home. Its my version of a perfect fidget item thats for certain. Ive handled a bundle of other training axes and non have come close to this axe. Ive customized it with some id say necessary paracord at the bottom of the handle for an even more secure grip but the included hole is perfect for it. Overal best axe ever if in the distant future it happens to break id be more than happy to buy a new one.
I bought this to use for combat training but it's too light for practical application with the actual hawk. A weighted head option would make this a better training tool.
The trainer is a very well constructed training tool. Naturally I accidentally struck a few hard objects by accident but there was no damage to the trainer just a few scratches, very great product and pretty well shaped to the real Hawk.
Fits the dimensions so makes for a good trainer. A little lighter than the steel version, but that is to be expected. It also allows you to build up muscle and speed so when you start doing forms with the real thing you have more control. A lot safer (but still be careful) to be swinging around for those impromptu moments when you just want to pick up something and play with it. I mean, practice with it.
