A design collaboration between custom knifemaker Andrew Demko and Lynn C. Thompson, the Espadas are available in two sizes to suit both the bold and the boldest of individuals! Despite their imposing size, they are expertly designed to fit comfortably and discreetly in your pocket. You'll soon forget that you are carrying such a large and impressive blade. Equipped with the patented Demko Thumb Plate, the Large and Extra Large Espadas can be snagged on your pocket, opening the knife as you draw it - and opening in the blink of an eye! The Espada's beautiful blades are made from Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. Each Espada is equipped with the patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, proven to have amazing shock resistance and strength. In their own notoriously brutal product testing, the XL Espada was not only capable of holding 600lbs of free hanging weight, but they even used it to support a hanging engine block!

Basically a folding Bowie with multiple handle positions. It says not to chop with it, but the handle feel makes it tempting. A little difficult to close, but once you feel the trick, it's easy enough.

It’s sad that the original owners sold out because now all blades or the majority of them are made in Taiwan back in the day 2530 years ago was US steel stainless steel blades I know because I had one for 30 years and lost it carried it with me every day Voyager XL 50-50 blade. I ordered this knife for my son. I didn’t realize it was that big and then I got a new Voyager XL myself and couldn’t get it in 50-50 blade so I got it serrated blade Tonto tip and the exact same one for my son. I was excited to get it. I opened it and all of a sudden I saw it was made in Taiwan stamped right on the blade broke my heart. I’m looking for American stainless steel American quality build this company that owns Cold Steel now owns like sock knives too and other outdoor equipment. It’s just there’s no specialized effort or care where they come from craftsmanship seems like.!
The Espada is made from high quality metal. I found it hard to close though. I have to use two hands for that.
This thing is awesomely huge. The lock is a bit tight on mine, but I'd rather have that then a lose lock.
This is an exceedingly well-made knife. The grind lines are perfect.
