To honor the Duke's legacy, Air Venturi presents the Officially Licensed John Wayne Lil' Duke .177 Caliber Lever-Action BB Rifle. Aimed at beginners and younger airgunners, this lever-action repeater is a great way for pint-sized shooters to get involved in shooting sports, and start plinking away with a very user-friendly gun.
The 'Lil' Duke now includes Air Venturi's new LASSO Scope Mount which adds a 3/8 inch dovetail rail to the rifle and mount the included 4x15 scope. This unique rifle features a stained wood stock etched with the Duke's likeness and the words "Lil' Duke" across the fore-grip. The big man's signature stands out in high relief on the action of the gun. Its large loop cocking mechanism makes for one of the easiest guns to cock and lock. The gun has a 550 shot capacity and launches BBs downrange at speeds up to 350 fps; perfect for knocking down cans and shredding paper targets.
BBs can ricochet. The shooter and everyone in the shooting area should wear safety glasses when a gun is being handled (even if it's unloaded). Remember to remove all pets from the area, as rebounding ammo can hit them, too. Never shoot steel BBs at hard objects (including metal targets) or water, as that increases the chance of ricochet.

Took a little while to get here , but pyramid was responsive- good customer service. Anyway the lil Duke. Nice,nice,nice. Very stout, wood and blueing is beautiful, feels really great when shouldered. Very well made. I have heard alot about a plastic cocking lever on these rifles. Mine is metal and not flimsy, cocking effort is a little stout for youngsters, but can be cocked easily by holding the lever while tilting the rifle, the accuracy on the one I received puts bbs in a dime size hole from about 10-15 feet with the sights where they were out of the box, loading port can be difficult, but I use the marksman rubber squeeze tube speed loader and problem solved. The scope and mount are a very nice addition, but I like the open sights on this rifle. All in all it's a pretty nice youth airgun or just a fun backyard plinker. Plenty of power for such a small rifle but she is a beauty .
Things I would have changed:I can't think of anything other than the loading port
What others should know:Nice rifle quality workmanship good looker and shooter. If you want a nice John wayne collectable, or you want something other than a red ryder. This is a good choice Can't go wrong for this price.
