I love the look, especially on the Benjamin Bulldog. It works really well in low light or no light. The newer models put the battery compartment on the side instead of the bottom, thank goodness. The buttons are easy to access and find even in pitch blackness. The reticle selection is nice and it gives you a black or white version of each of the 3.
Things I Would Have ChangedIt is pretty bad in bright sunlight and is completely unusable with snow on the ground in daylight. The screen flicked off & on once while I was firing (so far about 50 .357 rounds have been fired with this scope on). I'm hoping this was a strange fluke, but if it starts happening again I may have to return it.
What Others Should KnowThis thing eats batteries like crazy. Do yourself a favor and get some rechargeables: they'll pay for themselves in 4-5 outings. You can't put anything on the rail in front of it. The IR light bounces off whatever you put there and shines directly back into the scope, washing out the image (kinda makes one sad as a Bulldog user). You pay for what you get: it's not fantastic, but will get you shooting at night for 1/4 the cost.
Works as expected in low light and night skies. Images seem clear and easy to identify.
Things I Would Have Changedsome images get "washed out" in bright sunlight, so mind your angles.
What Others Should KnowGood value option for low light hunting and shooting. I was able to access the battery compartment without taking scope of the gun (FX Wildcat Compact).
