10 of 14 Puncher Mega Synthetic Sidelever PCP Air Rifle Reviews
This Kral is worth every penny its a awesome airgun. I put a OdB supressor on it and man its quiet, not too pellet picky and those magazines can fit all kinds of sizes like the JSB 33.9 gr beast in them. Quality gun for the those who are looking for something solid.
Things I Would Have ChangedNone
What Others Should KnowThe price for the quality you get 5 star IMO.
Everything the best air gun l every bought. I own fifteen or more this is best one cocks like a dream shoots very accurate. Buy it you wont regret it. The safety is so easy on and off nice position to l cant say enough good things about this PCP.
Things I Would Have ChangedAbsolutely nothing
What Others Should KnowBuy it
Power, accuracy, looks, and feel. It really does get around 975 fps with standard crosman lead pellets(14.3s). The side lever is a great feature, and I upgraded mine to the jumbo biathlon lever. Much nicer feel to it. Parts for most of the puncher series are interchangeable, a plus when it comes to tinkering.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake the air tube out of aluminum to help with the front heavy tilt of the rifle. It's not bad, but with the synthetic stock it is noticeable. Add some baffles to the shroud to quiet this bad boy down.
What Others Should KnowI installed an NP-03 16" barrel and a full shroud with 8 Mrod baffles, and drilled out the barrel bushing into an air stripper. Made this rifle super quiet, and it still gets over 900 fps with 14.3 grain pellets. It's preferred pellet is the H&N terminator 16.36 going 875 fps. I haven't even adjusted the hammer spring tension, it's fully backed out, so there is room for more power if needed.
At the sale price of $350, you can't afford not to own one of these rifles.
Hands down, it runs circles around the coveted Marauder.
This rifle is one of the best 22 cal. shooters you can get for the money! Quarter size groups with pellets of 16grs - 21grs out to 60yds JSB & H&N! Shot count with the 12 shot mag. is about 48 before shots start to drop. The trigger is lite and crisp and adjustable. Rifle does have a bark. Kral is a TOP NOTCH rifle! It just doesn't have the bells and whistles the higher priced guns have.
Things I Would Have ChangedAdd baffles and regulator to make this rifle AWESME!
Very accurate and consistent for the money.
Things I Would Have ChangedMake it with 1/2 inch unf threads for a moderator. Make the mags more durable. Have a factory male foster fitting for ez filling instead of a fill probe.
What Others Should KnowYou have to purchase a separate male foster fitting with 1/8 inch female threads to be able to fill it.
The magazines are easy to load and I can shoot jsb beast 34 grain pellets and slugs right from the standard magazine. So far I've been shooting a few slugs and blowing soda cans away at 50 yards. I love turning the power wheel down I'm putting in some crosman premier domed or jsb Hades and stacking one on top of another at 50 ft which is ideal for my backyard and the noise is non-existent from the gun what the noise of impact is louder if it hits anything solid like old books and tin cans . All the birds out eating the bird seed don't even fly away when you shoot it. Just about everything you could ever want with a nice smooth side lever, power adjuster and the adjustable riser on the stock for a cheek weld.
Things I Would Have ChangedOf all the things I do like I wish there was some baffles so I used the baffle from a crosman trail and put it inside of some PVC that I painted gunmetal gray. It screws right onto the end of the barrel and I cut it down so that it would spread right into the shroud and now I can shoot anything on high power and you can't hardly even hear it!
What Others Should KnowI hadn't filled my SCBA tank so I used my hand pump to get ready to go to the range and set the gun in the corner of my air-conditioned house and went down to the kitchen when I heard a loud hissing noise coming from the other room and discovered that I blew the burst disc. I had some spare discs from my HPA compressor so I was not down very long and tomorrow it's time to go out on the farm and take care of the iguana issue. Be careful not to overfill the pressure and pay attention to the gauge on the gun not the pump. Of course burst discs are not all that perfect and sometimes they do fail when they really shouldn't but I won't have that problem again.
Shipping was faster than expected despite the label on the website saying it might take a while because of covid-19. Unboxing and checking things look very good and I put some air from my tank but was only able to pressurize to 170 bar. That was sufficient enough just sight in a scope and run to magazines a various pellets and play with the power adjuster. I only got about 20 yards of range for my backyard and I was stacking JSB Hades and crosman premier domed on low power setting. I loaded a MAG after using the hand pump and shot some AVS slugs out to a hundred yards and was hitting soda cans. I guess I have to go down and help my friend on the farm here in South Florida and get some chicken of the tree iguanas!
Things I Would Have ChangedThe gun shoots a little bit loud and I expected that after reading reviews and so I ordered this baffle from pyramyd air at the same time, Crosman NP214-001 Trail Baffle. I got a piece of PVC from the hardware store that just big enough inner diameter to slide this baffle in with a thin layer of cloth wrapped around it. I was able to screw this directly onto the end of the barrel and I shaved down the end where it meets up with the existing shroud so that I could thread it into the existing shroud and I can shoot anything on high power and the gun makes no noise comparatively. I had to remove the air filter cover in order to attach this new moderator but I also can use some hair curlers and some plastic tubing two space two or three of them out and that also will work without sacrificing the air filter cover but I like the looks of the PVC that I painted gunmetal gray on the end of the Black gun.
What Others Should KnowI pumped it up to go out to the range with my hand pump because I have not filled my SCBA tank and the guage on the pump is a little bit different than that on the gun and I must have put a little too much because I parked it in the corner of my air-conditioned house and went to get some dinner in the kitchen what I heard a hissing noise. I blew the burst disc and happen to have one for my HPA compressor so be careful not to over pressurize even just 15 or 20 bar!
It’s a great gun for the price very accurate it has a good feel for me I have bought several of different onesAnd this one is the best
The good 63 shots average 888 FPS SD of 7.8 ES 33 FPS with 28 FPE with .22 JSB 15.89 gr pellets, at 33 yards .250 to .350 5 shot groups depending on my concentration smallest 5 shot groups at 50 yards .280 CTC , most 5 shot groups at 50 yards .400 to .625 that's pretty good for a $429 gun . 75 yards 10 shots .900 CTC shot 11 and 12 brought total group to 1.400 . All pellets i used straight out of the tin If I have flyers most of the time bent skirts are to blame some times I don't catch them .If you find a good tin of pellets the gun will perform . Every shooter is different and every gun is different . I did adjust hammer spring to get maximum shots at the smallest spread . With hammer spring adjustment and transfer port adjustment you can easily tune to your liking just need a chronograph. My gun didn't like the tin of JSB 18.13 I tried I may try another tin latter . Air Arms 16 gr 5 shot groups at 50 Y .625 still very good .
Things I Would Have ChangedThe bad used gun for a month developed a firing valve leak a slow one had to replace it I think it was $ 7.99 for the replacement valve , that's why over all rating of 4 stars . Because I had to work on it , not worth the hassle to send it back for warranty work , Yes I got the 10 for 10 service sometimes problems don't show up until using something for a while .My own personal opinion I think Krual Arms Has come a long way in fixing a lot of other problems with there guns . Are they perfect no but I have a $ 1000 rifle had to take apart screw firing valve retainer back in and replace the regulator on it to get to work right , even the expensive ones have troubles , so there it is !
What Others Should KnowScope I used UTG 3X12X44 Swat scope with 30 MM medium Dovetail rings , I don't recommend using Weaver rings . Smooth cocking over all fit finish build quality even with me having to repair it , very good . Accurately excellent magazines excellent . I bought the synthetic stock , very nice adjustable check piece . It is non regulated but doesn't bother accuracy , I fill to 180 to 190 bar seams to start the sweet spot on pressure .The 63 shots I got out of it was filled to 200 bar . The gun I received has the new post adjustable trigger loosen set screw on trigger shoe you can change height of shoe and cant left of right. The shroud works really well at keeping noise down .Bottom line I would buy again . Makes a excellent hunting rifle or just shooting targets Every thing I review I bought with my own money .I wish I could buy one of everything to review and own but financial embarrassment keeps me from doing so .

Smooth side lever action, accurate, dont know about durability, havent owned it long enough. Easy to carry, shoots slugs, you won’t be disappointed
Things I Would Have ChangedMaybe an adjustable cheek rest?
What Others Should KnowThe utg scope comes with mounts high enough for the magazine. The 12 shot magazine requires the scope mount a little higher (medium height)
