Description
The Reximex RP PCP Pistol/Carbine is a rare type of airgun because it can convert from an air pistol to a carbine air rifle with the included removable high quality synthetic stock. It features lead pellet velocities of up to 610 FPS in .177 and 515 FPS in .22 to offer the accuracy and performance required for plinking and target practice.
The heart of this pellet gun is found in its ability to change between a carbine-type air rifle for added stability and a compact and light pistol with the removable stock that attaches easily to the bottom and top of the ergonomic textured pistol grip and removes just as easily with the press of a single button. The barrel is rifled for accuracy and the airgun includes a 1/2" UNF threaded adapter to enable the addition of a moderator for quieter shots.
The Reximex RP delivers steady and consistent performance because of its regulator that allows for predictable and repeatable accuracy with each shot. The 50cc removable aluminum air cylinder provides up to 55 shots in .177 and 40 shots in .22 from 3625 PSI to 1450 PSI, giving shooters ample shooting time before needing to refill the airgun.
This air gun offers sighting options without needing additional equipment because it has a blade and ramp front sight and an adjustable rear sight, and it also has an 11mm dovetail optics rail for adding a scope or other optic such as a dot sight to improve sighting at longer distances.
To get a versatile airgun that can transform from a pellet pistol to a carbine air rifle and back without needing tools, buy the Reximex RP PCP Pistol/Carbine from Pyramyd AIR today.

Please note: The 11mm dovetail located on the barrel shroud is slightly higher than the dovetail section located on the rear half of the breech. If you intend to mount an optic using two piece mounts that will require both rail sections to be used, we recommend adjustable rings. An offset mount can also be used to avoid mounting on both rail sections.
The rifle magazine is larger and will get in the way of the open sights and will limit what optic setups can be used.

For the price, you won't go wrong, but it's a PCP so you will need a high-pressure supply.
Things I Would Have Changedneeds some better r/r in the machine of the parts that accompany the pistol.
What Others Should KnowThe pistol is on par with any of the PCP in the price range.
Everything you could want in close range air rifle/carbine.
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing.
What Others Should KnowShoots FX .22 pellets really well.
It's a very lightweight pistol and very accurate at 10 meters. It's regulated, that's a nice feature.
Things I Would Have ChangedIf you plan on shooting with the iron sights you should know mine does not allow me to adjust the elevation of the front sight down enough to center on the target, it shoots about 3 inches low since the front sight for the elevation adjustment has to adjust the sight opposite of the way you want the pellet to move, there's not enough adjustment to do so. I went with a red dot, even though I would prefer to shoot it with iron sights. I might take the front sight off and have a machine shop remove about .030" to get the sight down far enough. A better manual would be nice also. With the stock on the pistol the front sights are useless.
What Others Should KnowVery loud so a moderator is a must if you want to be backyard friendly. If I had it to do again I'd pass on this pistol and buy a unregulated one.
Amazingly accurate with Hades pellets and red dot sight, super quiet if you get a moderator for it. Great for backyard pest control where you don't want or need excessive power and can't have loud noise, but need an accurate air rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedMine doesn't feed predator polymags from the magazine which is a bummer because they are one of my favorite pellets. Make it so it would hold air overnight. Mine leaks the air pressure by half over night, and by the third day it is mostly empty.
What Others Should KnowPay for Pyramid Air's 24 hour leak test. I wish I did, would have saved me a headache. Mine is a .22 caliber and I only got 2 magazines(14 rounds) through it before it was empty, so nowhere near the 40 rounds as stated in the product information.
I’ve had the RP model in .22 cal for two weeks now. Very impressed with the accuracy. One half inch groups at 20 yards are common shooting with the stock off a rest. Trigger could be better but not bad. Averages 2lbs 2oz with a short first stage and a little longer second stage than I like but smooth. I get 35 shots on a fill from 230 bar down to 100 bar with 15.89 JSB averaging 585 fps. The side lever is smooth without any problems and the magazines work flawlessly. It comes with a very nice case. Very pleased with my purchase.
Things I Would Have ChangedI wish there was more info on adjusting the trigger. It would be nice if the rail was picatinny instead of dovetail.
What Others Should KnowThe pistol is light and very balanced with a good grip. The stock attaches with little effort and is well made and solid. This pistol is worth every penny.
This is a really nice looking pistol/carbine, and I find it to be amazingly accurate with Crosman Premier 10.5’s.
Things I Would Have ChangedHere is the problem. As a carbine the grips fit my average sized hands “ok”. As a pistol, I really do not like the fit of the grips, and mine will receive some serious attention. Now, to the trigger. It does break fairly nicely, but at 70 ounces. As a carbine this is manageable, as evidenced by some very nice groups I shot, but as a pistol, 70 ounces is unsatisfactory. This Airgun has been on the market for a while and I had hoped that this trigger would be ‘fixed” by now. There are numerous videos on YouTube to make this change, and my gun will soon be modified. Cheap and easy, but why do you need to fix a brand new gun.
What Others Should KnowAs I said before the accuracy of this gun makes it worth while to take the time to fix it. The operating lever is a bit flimsy and the action is not smooth in operation. I have had this gun for a week and put over 500 pellets prior to writing this report, and it still feels like it has gravel in the works. Five shot groups that can be covered by a Nickel at my 9 yd indoor “Olympic” range impress the heck out of me and I am willing to deal with the above issues.
Just received it today, so I cleaned the barrel and air it up. First thing.... I'm not that good with open sights, been awhile. But with out adjusting anything it was pretty accurate, just compensated for how much it was off. was able to hit a 3 inch ringer from 10 yards. Second, the grip is fantastic. I was afraid it wound be front heavy but it feels well balanced in my hands. I went with the RP, kinda wish I would of got the walnut but I like the option of painting things and not ruining a wood grip. I got 5 mags through it before it was getting close to the reg pressure. The reason I bought it was just for some fun plinking in the backyard, not as loud as I've heard about. Definitely happy with my purchase.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe rail on the action and barrel aren't level on mine, might have to get adjustable scope mounts if I wanted to mount a pistol scope.... and the 11mm rails, does anyone make a holographic sight for a 11mm rail? My moderator adapter won't thread in, thing the threads might be a bit buggered. Not a deal breaker, might try to clean them up.
What Others Should KnowI haven't ran it through a chronograph yet

Accuracy, works with a silencer and comes with a silencer adapter, nice grip, around 40 good shots per fill, regulated, not too expensive.
Things I Would Have ChangedThe trigger is heavy, both the first and second stage. Also the second stage is very long and with a heavy break. With a scope it is a little heavy, over 3 lbs. The magazines it comes with also seem to damage the pellet on the final round, as it always ends up being a flyer in my testing. The rear dovetail section is also lower than the front one, this is kind of ridiculous on a $450 pistol.
What Others Should KnowI ended up swapping out the sear spring for a lighter one and shimming the upper part of the sear. This lightened the second stage weight and reduced the 2nd stage pull length. The trigger is now pretty good, though nothing like the one in my Weihrauch. I also got replacement O-ring based magazines from an auction site, they work great. Lastly, I used WestHunter adjustable scope rings (they were much cheaper than FX ones) to deal with the uneven dovetail sections. It seems to work fine. After these three changes were made, I am now very satisfied with the pistol and shoot it daily. I feel like these changes should have been made at the factory to warrant a 5 star rating. Also, if you look closely on the air tube, it reads, "Read Manuel" not "Read Manual" LOL
